Have a chance to buy a 5117R in perfect condition with box/papers for 12k. Decent deal?

That’s insane. I don’t understand spending that kind of money on jewelry or accessories.

Secondary market price looks to be ~$20k so I would say it's a good deal. I will take if you don't want it

Offer is too good to be true. Make sure you and the seller visit a Patek dealer and get the watch certified as genuine.

I'm gonna vote too good to be true.

I also like the 5119 better because it's "true" to a dress watch: no date, manual wind

Can you post pictures of it?

If it’s the gold leather band watch I just googled I would pass.

Buy the seller, not the watch.

$12k seems low. Depends on the condition. Does this person have the internet?

Honestly, I stay away from most second hand nowadays. Don’t have the budget for what I’m interested in, don’t trust much that is within my budget. Also, remember, box and papers can be faked, and if no box and papers, Patek is no longer providing authenticity certificates for watches under 30 years of age.

Finally, just get a Lange Saxonia 37mm. Not much more, hell of a lot more watch.

What's with the OT and watches. Do you guys wear track suits, thick gold chains and diamond stud earrings too?

Just got a call an hour ago and am picking up a 126710 BLNR on Jubilee tomorrow afternoon. Wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get it before Rolex stops shipping for the holidays but they got 2 in and one is mine.
