Easy. Buy a 2000 Avalanche

I have an 04 Yukon with 247K miles and it’s time to either buy again or………..a long block remanufactured 5.3L from Powertrain is $2,499 shipped. I’m deciding in the morning to perhaps accept their quote.

Or not.

Looking at Sequoias too but the ones for the same price have more miles
That's a hard pill to swallow at first.

absolutely nailed the stereotype
This time of year is glorious.. every time I see that commercial of the guy whistle for the dog in the snow to run towards his wife and then the wife whistles and the truck comes out and she nods he can have it, I think of Taint.

We bought my wife (no pics) a brand new 2006 Tahoe and traded it in for a 2016 Yukon XL a few years back. Other than changing oil, the only repair I had to do was a water pump. It was a great vehicle that had nearly 200K miles on it.
It was weathered on the I side from kids but it ran like a champ on the day we traded it in.

I have a 2001 Tahoe, 325K miles. Other than the paint being burnt off and all the radio knobs falling off because it has sat in the sun for years, and one window that rolls all the way back up only on odd numbered days, I have had no real mechanical problems.

You going to have a rim note too?

Again it's for a reason. Toyotas don't break. a Sequoia with 200k is a better buy than Tahoe with 130k for the same price. Do it.

Make sure you rent your rims and tires from the place between the hair weave shop and nail salon on Airline Hwy in North Baton Rouge.

Our tailgate vehicle is a 2000 suburban with 250k miles and its still going strong

I can't, that 5.3 is a beast.
My 2007 has almost 280k on it. Have a family member that has 400k and 250k on two vehicles. 5.3 is the best engine ever made.

My next car is an Acura. Can’t beat a Honda engine.

As the former owner of an 04 tundra and current owner of an 05 yukon, which one is more reliable?
Flip a coin.

Screw that generation, get the first gen 2 door tahoe or the 8th gen GMT 400 suburban. Those will be a collector and will only go up in value. The Tony Soprano classic.

Do you think they’ll come out with an electric excursion in 22?

They’ll last over 400k miles with regular maintenance.
The black Z71 from that generation is the best looking SUV ever made, that’s just a fact

Why buy an 06 when you can finance a 2018
