Probably too late in this thread to post this to have too many people pay attention, but it’s about to happen…

I’m in the transportation business. Most of our customers have annual RFPs out right now, and because freight demand has crashed, and there are empty trucks around, freight rates are about to nosedive. I’m talking 30%-40%, which will have a profound impact on the landed cost of retail/grocery goods. Shippers/manufacturers will pass along savings to consumers and the bubble will burst.

By the end of Q2, life will get less expensive.

The property taxes are outrageous

The best part about no income tax offset by higher property tax is that you get to choose how much you pay by the value of the house you buy. If you want a baller house, you have a higher tax burden. If you live modestly, it’s likely much less than what your current state income tax is.

The reality is that they are going to get tax revenue from you one way or the other. You choose.
Grammar on this thread is terrible. That’s all.

I thought about ginger ale after I sent this. Thanks for the reminder

Day Drinking Bourbon

Posted by MEANGREEN65 on 1/21/23 at 11:44 am
About a year ago I started drinking bourbon neat as a “night cap” after a Saturday of drinking beer throughout the day. I have since started drinking way less beer and more bourbon. Trying various brands and finding ones that I like better than others. Now, I want to have bourbon cocktails rather than a few beer on the weekend days.

What do y’all like to make with bourbon that will allow you to have a few during the day and not get hammered? I have had a few bourbon and soda drinks, and I like them, but wanted to get some other ideas.

I love bourbon now!
Only way I’m even looking beyond page 1 is if there are hot chicks or at least 4 pages. Or I’m drunk or it’s early in the morning and I ain’t got shite else to do.

So it’s possible.
I question whether or not 100% of any tips, outside of a waiter at a restaurant, go to the staff. I could see the subway owner keeping it as extra revenue for them, or only paying out a part of it.
Petit Jean State Park is an amazing place.

If you have a son you only have to worry about 1 dick. If you have a daughter you have to worry about all the dicks. I have three daughters. FML

Coupling your opinion with other reviews that I’m reading, I’m locking this up. Very much looking forward to it!

Thank you sir!

El Mangroove Costa Rica

This place is being recommended to us by a travel agent, and it works out well because I would be able to redeem Bonvoy points to cover a whole week there.

We will be taking our daughters with us. 17, 15, and 13.

Has anybody been that can provide their opinion?

I’m in the same boat as you brother. 5 pounds heavier than I’ve ever been. Disappointed in myself, but I can overcome.

Wife and I just went on a 2 mile walk to start the New Year. Going to get back on WW and see how this goes. Last time I did it I lost 35 pounds in 3 months.

We got this!

You pick up and drop off at the same location at LAX.

I usually fly in to LAX and out of Ontario. Much easier airport.

We’ve been to CB twice, both times in the summer so I can’t speak to the ski season.

I will agree that CB is one of the best mountain towns in CO. Quaint downtown and everything is walkable.

Stop in the local bars and ask for a “Novak Special”. It’s a PBR and a shot of Jim Beam for $5. There was a local guy named Novak that died in an avalanche a few years back and that was his drink. Should be able to get it almost anywhere.

My wife and I now get PBRs and Jim Beam shots on nights out now in any city we find ourselves in. We love CB!

Destroyed this morning because Aunt Flo was supposed to arrived today.
How old are your children?

When my kids were younger it was more important for me to be home. Now they are older and more self sufficient, it’s easier to be away and it not be as impactful.

I spent about 90 nights in a hotel this year. That part sucks. It’s important to be home by Thursday night and NEVER leaving on a Sunday.

Every situation is different.
