My wife wants a damn horse, and he got a neighbor to agree to keep the stupid thing. she used to be competitive hunter jumping rider in shreveport and wants an older chilled out school horse or something just for easy pleasure riding.

I don’t care for horses and they don’t like me. (Bit broke when i was a kid, ride from hell, threw me into fence after 15 minutes) I have no idea where to get a horse like this, any ideas appreciated. Guess i need the tack, non western saddle etc too. Any ideas appreciated

I got will you got the boat you wanted etc. and she is right and needs something to do anyway.

You will either score major points and she’ll ride it, or you’ll be the proud new owner of an expensive lawn ornament for someone else’s lawn.

There's a reason you can get a horse for $500. Costs that much every couple weeks just to keep them alive.

Try to avoid it as long as possible. Without a doubt the most expensive thing you will ever do.

Think a boat is expensive? A boat doesnt need damn timothy hay, farriers, vets, every kind of supplement on the market.

My daughter (no pics) rode English since she was 4. Between the $2000 boots and the $11,000 saddle you can get in a hole quick. And I wont even say what the damn horse cost.

Avoid it at all costs.

If you think boats are a constant resource drain, buckle up. Or saddle up, I guess.

If you’re lucky enough, someone will pay you to take their horse. Best of luck.

Just let the neighbor buy her a horse. He will win points with your wife, and you will probably have a lot more free time to go fishing.

If I complied with everything my wife requested, I'd have been bankrupt within a year of our wedding.

Just go to auction with a trailer, but leave it unlocked and walk away. Do that a few times and you will eventually leave with a free horse.

I’ve got a Billy Cook and an English saddle if you’d be interested. They’re both in good condition and stored in the air condition. The bit on the western needs a little cleaning but neither are messed up or damaged in anyway other than from normal use.

If you’re interested, let me know and we can figure out a way to get them to you. Merry Christmas baw.

Just get her a pair of coconuts; and show her Holy Grail if she hasn't seen it.

There's a lady in North Texas who has draft horse crosses that are very safe hunter and jumpers.

I think it is Cloudline Sport Horses.

English riding horses are high priced right now.
