Realistically what jobs should I be looking at?

I sold $35,000 worth of cutco and did four years of pharma sales after college. Mental health and addiction got the better of me and it’s four years later. No jobs seem to want to touch me. I’m talking about the $70K base, car allowance type jobs. I don’t know what to do and even the lower level sales jobs aren’t touching me. I used to make six figures. Now I’m unemployed and broke. Times have changed. I’m completely humbled.

Why?
I mean, you're not telling them about your addiction and mental issues...right?

Sell cars. If you’re good, you can make money.

If you sold cusco, find a low level broker dealer..get your series 7 and sell fixed income...if u can sell, u will make bundles

Aim lower and work your way up. If you provide value you’ll move up quickly.

Go into insurance.
P&C.
Make sure whatever agent you work for pays residuals.

With modern regulations there are no BDs that just “sell fixed income”. If you don’t have the chops to be a real advisor than it ain’t gonna work

Are you not getting interviews because of a criminal record, or is it when they do a background check after an offer? If you’ve been recently incarcerated, you might want to look at getting on an entry level job as a contractor for construction, plant Maintenence, etc…

Ok, I'm not gonna troll you here.
You're a salesman I gather. Well what about car sales? If they won't touch you, then maybe Lowe's or Home Depot working in floor or appliance sales for comission?
You need a confidence builder man. You need a series of small successes that you can build from.
Gut out some grunt work for a year so and move up from there. Stay put somewhere for a while and show better employers that you can stick around a place and be relied on.
You're in rebuild mode right now. Have some patience with it, eat a little shite and I promise, it'll fly by. In a year or so, you'll be in a better spot.
You need a series of small successes. Set yourself up for those. You just have to gut it out when it at times feels bad.
Now go get a fricking job, you goddamn degenerate.
