I’ve gone through similar issues, with health problems. Missed 18 months of work due to it. In my interview I just said it was due to health issues. You don’t bring up a specific health problem & they can’t ask. I also had a generic release letter to work from my GP.
They don’t care too much about what health issue you have as much as can you work, or will it be a problem. Good luck

Lisp is extremely relevant to development in 2023, though. Those AI tools people are excited about aren't written in some clunky language with a bunch of if/then blocks, type declarations, and variable mutations.
Hell, even corporate crap like C# is becoming more and more functional. The C# back-end code guys are writing at my employer actually resembles Lisp as much as it resembles the C# I was writing 10 years ago.
