You’re missing the point, there are 65ish P4 teams. Of those 65 only the traditional top 1/3 of each league can realistically have a shot at winning the Title.

There are 130 FBS teams, I think, and less than 20 have a realistic shot at winning a National Championship.
ACC has 3 maybe 4 teams capable of putting that together. Big12 has 2 or 3 tops. Big 10 has 5ish. SEC has 6 or 7.
ACC: Miami, FSU, Clemson & SMU
Big 12: Texas Tech, BYU, Utah, ASU
Big 10: Ohio State, Michigan, Penn St, Wisconsin, Nebraska
SEC: Bama, UGA, Tenn, Texas, A&M, OU, LSU, Florida, Auburn
That’s realistically the only teams who have a legitimate shot to sustain a program long enough to compete year in and year out.
Every other program is either coattails riders or has zero chance of winning it all.

You’re “Best” offer isn’t always your best fit.
As a parent you have to help your kid determine what they want out of their college athletic experience. Have a realistic idea of their ceiling and potential.
1. Determine if playing time is a priority or if being a part of a high profile program experience the priority.
2. Location and support system in place at the university. Academically as well as campus/community life.
3. Coaching characteristics
4. When all of those things are evaluated then worry about NIL.
As a parent you have to help your kid determine what they want out of their college athletic experience. Have a realistic idea of their ceiling and potential.
