LSU is the #103 ranked public school in the country according to USNWR.
UL is ranked #189 in public universities.
Such a huge difference.

Well then actually be a flagship university. Instead of just an athletic factory. LSU gets the lions share of funding and is ranked 202 overall in USNWR.

Found the retard in the room. Currently the Cajuns are on an 8 year bowl streak. Has finished the season ranked 15th & 16th on 2020 & 2021. Which would have given them a CFP birth.

ULS universities do not have student fees for athletics.
Parking passes are directed elsewhere. But the university has hourly parking all over campus. Those funds cover the shortfall.

Nearly every adversary’s R&D is handled within their own DOD. So they control the price point.

$44M was for the entire university, not just athletics. The previous administration increased faculty by over 600 positions while decreasing student population by nearly 5000 undergraduate students. Eliminating degree programs such as Gender Studies and other liberal arts DEI/Woke curriculums solved most of that.
The athletics deficit was much less and had self generated auxiliary funds earmarked to cover the deficit.

All of which was covered by auxiliary fees and RCAF donations. So only a deficit in the since that the audit has a reporting criteria that doesn’t show the deficit being covered.
Similar to the “alleged” TAF covering the $179M deficit big bad LSU runs.
