In what way? Because he was a great Texas high school coach? Joey McGuire was too, is a few years younger, and is recruiting well at Tech, yet no one is scared of him getting a bigger job.
I like Traylor, and he wouldn't be a bad hire for A&M, but I don't think he's necessarily going to become an overnight sensation. Briles certainly wasn't at Baylor or Houston.

Supposedly he burned some bridges in College Station while he was the head coach at Gilmer, it's happened before so it's not to far fetched to imagine. There are very very few Tx High School head coaches that are liked by all the other coaches in the State, he isn't one of them, this idea he would lock down the state because he came from the ranks is hilarious and has zero merit. I would stick with the interim E. Rob over him, he is a hell of lot better recruiter and UTSA hasn't exactly set the world on fire since Frank Wilson left. I'm hoping they have someone else wrapped up that hasn't been mentioned because I'd be disappointed with Kiffen, Dabo, Traylor, or Prime. I refuse to believe the Prime talk has any legs at all from the A&M side.

Didn't Fisher do the same thing when rumor had when he was throwing the game and bolting for Texas A&M. Might it be the same situation all over again?
