Would be a great hire but have heard nothing of him being interested in anything down south. He is a Midwest guy and picture him waiting for a Big10 job to open up. He will probably sit in Ames until Ryan Day heads to the NFL.

I heard Campbell’s name more than a week ago as a top target. I haven’t chimed in because i do not personally have any real sources. My discussions have been with a close friend whose brother in law is a large donor and suite holder. I personally have no idea who is the current target but Campbell is a name I’ve heard consistently throughout this.

He said he does not like recruiting five-star players. If he wants a job here, he better fricking learn how to recruit five-star player do not want Campbell anywhere near LSU. He may be a good coach, but he's not the right fit.

Campbell would be a hire that would cause a massive melt and rightfully so. You can’t have USC poaching Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma and then we go hire Iowa State 7-5 coach. Billy Napier took a ULL team into Ames and beat the brakes off of a Campbell.

He's taken a historically bad program to consistent winning seasons and multiple top 15-ish wins. He built a competitive program in Ames, Iowa.
He's the best pure program builder on the board by a mile. Whether LSU needs that or not, he's a home run in his class.
