Starting to think Woodward will quietly make a home run hire with Matt Campbell

Campbell is an ideal candidate the more and more I think about. We won’t have to fork over a ridiculous amount of money, and he’s perfect for weathering the storm of our title 9 investigation and quickly putting out the dumpster fire ignited by Orgeron.
He constantly emphasizes creating a great winning culture and always doing things the right way. He also focuses on “the process” and getting all players to buy into it.
Furthermore, he’s very young at 41 years old, but he already has 10 years of head coach experience. He is responsible for rebuilding Iowa State from the ground up into a consistent top 25 team with a culture of winning.
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. He’s a fantastic candidate and my new favorite to land the job. He’s going to blow Woodward away in the interview.

He’s a better coach than almost anyone on the list.

He’s said he prefers a 5 star culture over 5 star recruits. He’s not going to fit in with Saban Jimbo Kirby and now Napier.

I like Matt. Not sure if he’s a homerun. I question his recruiting ability but he’s a good coach

I’d be happy with Campbell but if He is the guy, then he was obviously not the first choice and would prove we really made a run and lost on Riley.
Because if Campbell was the primary guy, he would have been announced this weekend.
