He took over a pushover team and made them respectable while developing underrated athletes and building a program. ISU was Kansas level bad when he took over. Make no mistake he is a good coach.

Mark Mangino lol. Coming from a KU home in NE Kansas he was a legend. Not sure what he’s up to now. My dad sent me an article earlier this year where he was basically saying a bunch of BS to clean up his image for the woke mob but far as I know he is still fat, happy and retired.

I think you have to recruit at an elite level to compete in the SEC and I just don’t feel great about it with him. Just my opinion.

He had two future pro bowlers in the secondary and some other way underrated talent. Lot of players, relatively speaking, drafted off that team. Aqib Talib was a two star out of Dallas. He teamed up with fellow hawk Chris Harris in Denver and won one for Manning. KU should’ve held on to Mangino.
