Those who know Fickell describe him as extremely competitive but also deeply committed to his family and Catholic faith. He and wife, Amy, have six children.

It’s not about what person is catholic. The reference is to the top Catholic School in the ncaa. Notre Dame. Brian Kelly

The "timing doesn't work out" comment makes me think its Fickell with the timing of the announcement and signing day getting screwed up with the playoffs.

But I'd also love for it to be Kelly. People shite on him because he's an easily unlikable coach at an easily unlikable school. But he wins, he recruits, and he has that similar maniacal rage/focus that Saban has. People will say "but he got blown out in the playoffs" but keep going. He got blown out by Clemson who went on to blow out bama. Then blown out by bama who went on to blow out Ohio st. In 2012 they were blown out by bama but they had no business being in that game.

Fickell or Kelly would be a big splash hire that would come in and instantly get us winning again and in the playoff convo.
