Yeah he's the same exact coach skill wise that he was 15 years ago.
I'm not naive enough to think this is a really long term marriage between Kiffin and LSU based on history, but this is his best opportunity so far and he's being given everything he's asked for so far so we'll see how it plays out. He's off to a great start. LSU fan base and administration is super energized right now. Way different feeling than when BK was hired

Definitely sucks for Ole Miss but...
don't see it like that. Seemed pretty obvious he was considering leaving for a month now. Their AD was in a bad spot but handled it poorly starting with his tweet about a decision over a week ago.

How long exactly have you been an LSU fan? We're always 50/50 no matter the situation. 50% sunshine pumping and 50% fire everyone.

Putting the numbers or ballpark out there also may raise eyebrows from other candidates JUST in case things fall through with Kiffin. Maybe someone you thought that wouldn't be an option becomes an option.
It's also not like LSU can't still negotiate this either and as others have said, LSU fed that to Dellenger.
