Saban told Sark “You can take Banks, but you have to take Golding too.”

2020 is hard to judge with Golding. Nobody could tackle this year. Loss of Spring and Summer camps was obvious.

Offenses all looked like 2019 LSU this year, due largely to atrocious defense.

Saban will die on that field.

He is probably telling golding to move along.

Flood is getting the oc "name" and a raise.

Jeff banks is from texas and is probably getting a raise too.

If you consider over $1 mil a year as a raise, then yeah he's getting a raise.

A big raise and “associate head coach” title.

Taken from another thread. It illustrates a trend

It definitely illustrates a trend. SEC offenses are getting to be really good.

But anyway, 2018 Alabama gave up 320 yards per game and ranked 10th. 2019 Alabama gave up 324 yards per game and ranked 17th. Are you really suggesting that 4 yards signified the beginning of a noticeable decline?

Y'all gave up 352 yards per game this year, but the Ole Miss game really skews that average and still only gave up about 1 point per game more than in 2018 and 2019.

Golding has been the DC since 2018. I know officially he was Co-DC with Tosh, but that was in title only.

I forgot what happened with Tosh..

Did he originally go to Browns DL coach cause he was "relieved" of his duties at Bama after the 2018 season or did he voluntarily go there? Genuinely curious

I thought Tosh mainly had a reputation as a great recruiter, but mediocre coach and went to the NFL to change that.

I assume at some point he will have improved his coaching reputation and come back to college.

I thought LSU should have looked at him.

Sark is not some genius that will undoubtedly build a strong team. Who cares who he is looking at?

Not to mention that the SEC went to a 10 game schedule, with no cupcakes to pad the def stats.

Sark will be at UT for a decade.

Which team are you a fan of? Are you really that stupid?!

Why would he? Alabama's defense was very good this year. I think people just saw the Ole Miss game and assumed their defense sucked.

They were mostly LSU fans!

So Chip Brown from previous UT fame has an update...

He says Golding to Texas if Saban can get Lannibg from UGA which puts Muschamp as the new DC at UGA.

Also Banks left to get closer to his kids. Could have left last year but didn’t trust Herman would not get fired (right call I might add)...

lol. Another use of stats to tell lies. If you look at actual useful stats it tells that Golding made improvements from last year.

Eta: or, you know, just actually watch the games.

Wonder how Alabama won the Championship this year?
