Losing out on Aranda is what I am afraid of.

He was clearly the glue that kept Yawyaw from being a frickup.

The thought of getting and keeping him for years to come with elite defenses gives me a chubby.

I believe those throwing water on the Riley-->LSU news. I also believe that nobody from the LSU side is leaking good information right now. Both of these can be true.

If the LSU side is leaking that Riley is staying, they are likely providing cover. What other benefit would LSU gain from leaking this?

Not sure what the OU side would gain by leaking he is staying since this is the status quo and there is no contract that has been finalized to keep him in Norman.

Do not trust agents and intermediaries. They are getting small bites of info, but they do not know. Worse, they are supplying false information to benefit their own clients.

So you agree Riley to LSU and Dave to USC?

Riley was never coming to Baton Rouge. He did what every other HC does when his name comes up for a job. He played coy, used the LSU situation, and is going to make his Banker in Norman a very happy man.

Cause it’s not obvious enough he doesn’t know shite? You need a neon banner to fly over your head to tell you that? He’s always kept both sorts open. So, he’s now walking out one door and standing at the other.

So it’s clear that TBL is right…. Until he’s wrong and then he just changes his tune and he’s right again

Like al gore in 1972 when he said that the US would be covered in water in 25 years if we didn’t stop using petroleum… and then he just changed his prediction

So the ultimate question is
“When is TBL right?”

LSU football culture is so toxic, nobody wants to be a part of it apparently.

Yeah.......It's so freaking toxic that our last 3 coaches all won National Championships here including a Shrimp Captain putting up a 15-0 Record Setting Season.

Come on......... all Big time Coaching jobs are massive pressure cookers with insane expectations. That's why coaches make insane money to coach in these programs.

LSU is a prime time job for anyone that wants to win big and win titles. Anyone that doesn't want the pressure that goes along with it, we don't want. Understand????

The head coach is the culture pal. You don’t know what you’re talking about

Nobody knows right now…it’s negotiations. I’m sure Woody comes back after OU makes their pitch. Now whether it’s good enough to make LR sign with us no one knows except LR. It’s easier to stay where you are then move so that is probably why there is some pessimistic reporting.

If you would have kept readin you would have seen this posts as well:

quote:

I didn't say that. Just that in these coaching searches nothing surprises me.

quote:

That is my personal opinion from experience not based on any facts for this particular search.. I have seen a few of these fall through and I am always pessimistic because there are so many moving parts

So nothing has changed, just like the rest of us he has general PTSD from these things and expects it to fall apart at the last minute once again.

I tried telling people that nothing was certain but got downvoted like crazy. I knew the moment I saw it that TBL was jumping the gun celebrating. A couple of phonecalls is all it took to find out that certain Oklahoma boosters were attempting to keep this from happening.

Just feel like that is personal judgment and not inside info. Of course that is the “logical” outcome. Always was. But we are still in it and should not give up at the sight of first resistance.

I don't know at this point, and I won't act like it...like some do.

Fwiw guys. Voltiger is going to come along shortly and say we're talking to Cristobal's agents.

It's not his inside information. Just remember that. When you see it. Post a link here. I'm not saying it's true. It's just his next move.

You can't have any candidate of this caliber locked down 2-3 weeks before they can put pen to paper.

It only takes a couple of hours for OU to lock him up.
