its like some of yall dont follow coaching searches at all at other schools.

of the schools currently in the top 25

NFL head coaches: 2/15 ... Saban, Harbaugh

Promoted from current staff to head coach: 4/15 ... Cristobal, Day, Gundy, Riley

Coordinator at another school: 4/15 ... Kirby, Fickell, Aranda, Sitake

Head coach at Power 5 program: 2/15 ... Tucker, Chryst

Head coach at Group of 5 program: 3/15 ... Kelly, Clawson, Kiffin


Schools dont take good coaches from other good P5 programs!!!! the onyl time this has really happened was sark from Udub to usc, Kiff from Ut to USC and Jimbo from fsu to A&M.

its doesnt happen.

and most are realistic when it comes to the ULL coach. We have been through a ton of these searches and have seen things liek riley play out and know 99 times out of 100....they stay. Go look at bamas last search with the rich rod thing

fickel
campbell
napier
aranda
stoops
kiffin
chadwell
franklin

or something close to that

jimbo said no, fickel isnt leaving midwest, campbell doesnt want to move his young kids, aranda is taking USC as its his dream, his parents live there, inlaws live there, brother lives there etc.

so its napier vs stoops vs kiffin

SW doesnt like kiffin.
chadwell is out as he has had past ncaa sanctions and never worked at p5
franklin is liek 500 last two years
cristoball wasnt contacted


so you gonna take stoops over napier???

and most that understand football understand how good of a coach napier is. I personally hope its riley or aranda but i will be happy with napier. he is a cristobal clone.

Cristoball did well at FIU before getting fired adn going to Bama. Was great OL Coach and RC for bama. Done amazing at oregon.

why would you not want him? just because he was only an OC for a year? cause thats dumb. we arent hiring an OC, we are hiring a HC.

If he says no. He says no. It’s a miss and it would suck.

But I wouId not say SW screwed it up.

Not sure it's us that can screw up. Like you said it's massive. But to think all OU has to do is match is silly.. they won't. They just need to ideally pony up more and give more concessions.

But we are all in a wait in see. You and Gruss have been great keep it up.
