Cristobal did spend a few years in that infamous Sabama coaching rehab "clinic," and he's winning pretty bigly at Oregon, BUT I still don't feel overly confident he could handle a big ole job like LSU.
Regardless, how come the other poster mentioned Cristobal an hour ago in a different thread and predicted you would be coming forward with Cristobal later like clockwork? Are y'all ex lovers or something?

Better hope that Woodward hasn't put David Christopher Aranda off so much that his mind is already made up to go back west.
I like Riley but I like Aranda better. The board's consensus says it likes Riley better so I'll go along with that on this ...
If it got past Riley, then Aranda is the absolute best 1(B) left. After that, if it isn't anyone named Nick Saban, Matt Rhule or Bill Belichick, then it's at least a slight letdown for such a high profile hire.
I hope we get Aranda.

Alleva settled and hired Ed, people were furious.
Woodward is swinging for the fences and trying to lure a top 5 coach from a blue blood program, a venture that is always going to be a hard deal to close, and because we don’t have concrete information right this second, people are melting down?
What the frick do you people want? It’s lunacy trying to keep a read on this board. I get that no answer will satisfy everyone, but shite, you either want an AD to settle like Alleva did, or you want one to try and get an elite coach.

If Riley and Aranda fall through, I'd honestly prefer being patient and waiting for an NFL candidate. If they fall through, Napier or Stoops would more than likely still be there waiting.
