Orgeron left this program in bad shape. Culturally and depth wise it's in the shitter. The 2021 class is likely to be very thin. I don't expect miracles next year or in 2024. Let him get His system in place and his players doing it HIS way and then we can anticipate Natty runs in 25 and beyond.

Reality is no other program improved at the HC position as much as Lsu.

If he isn’t making playoff runs until 2025 this is a failure.

I think everyone understands next year is probably more of an 8-5 type season

But there’s no reason not to expect 10-2 at the least in 2023

Talent is there, culture is a huge issue.

Alabama had some talent after Shula, but Saban went 6-6 his first year cleaning out the bad eggs. I remember him starting backups over talented guys to send a message that buying in to the team (and his process) is the most important thing.

I expect a similar transition with Brian Kelly. He is not going to put up with any bullshite attitude.

Are we sitting out the 2023 year?

I'm thankful to know that he will build the offensive line and have some really good players moving forward

LSU's not paying him $15M to wait till 2025. Rebuilding the trenches is not gonna take 3 years.

Yeah frick that.

One mulligan year and then I’m expecting no worse than 2 loss seasons.

I’ll be okay if he can’t wrestle against Bama most years (and the concurrent lack of titles) if he maintains that.

Transfer portal means you can build teams up very quickly.

Making a playoff run in year 3 is a failure?

The transfer portal expedites a lot of this. Especially with the rule in place where you can match attrition.

I don't think talent wise we are in bad shape. We have had great classes. Might be a bit thin depth wise, but that is why Woodward made the move so fast so we don't get 2-3 yrs of bad recruiting classes.
OL - yes....that is bad.
Defense has really been solid, it has been the offense that has come up short and much of that is the OL and Max not getting his progressions done fast enough.

They are paying him $9.5 million.

Same as Jimbo, Ed O, and Mel Tucker

We are 10-2 with Myles.

UCLA, Aub, Bama, Ark should have been W's. and that is with Lameduck O.

If Ark can and Ole Miss can do better than 8-5 this year I think we go 9-3 or better next
A lot of other sec teams will be losing a lot of experience
Way more than us

Harbaugh at Michigan is a decent comparison. Took him longer than expected to get his guys and program in place but now they're in the playoffs.

BK might be able to pick up a few o-lineman through portal but realistically will take a while to fix and install his system.

It'll be faster than that. We aren't waiting that long.

Kelly is also a better coach than Harbaugh and will have an easier time recruiting than Harbaugh.
