what sort of offense did Fuente run
Posted on 12/10/21 at 7:57 am to Shuga4689
Can he run the Joe Brady offense?

Under 48
Comes from one of the few teams ND struggled with
Gonna have to agree with IndianaTiger- Josh Gattis

Fuente would be a somewhat out of character hire by Kelly. He’s very hands on with Offense and calls plays usually I think. Fuente would want control of the offense.
But Fuente would be a great hire. Go get Diaz at DC. Two former HCs that can recruit

I admit I do not know anything about Bowen, but VT fans are already saying he is an underwhelming hire for their budget.

If Kelly and Faulk never spoke I don’t believe he was told anything about a coach. Kelly isn’t gonna tell people anything when there is no one in there he knows or trusts.

He gave full reign to Reese in 2019 or 2020.

Good call. True.
Fuente would be a really interesting hire.

Things could get painful for you if this is BS!!!

Delay is announcing OC is making sure most of his under/counter parts are coming with him. The OC will be a switch to Modern offense and will really open up the running game.
edit:
Forgot this also. Its definitely not a NFL guy and not someone from the SEC. New blood coming for the offense.

Gah damn, some of you still don’t know what power I means…hint, there’s multiple formations of the power I…doesn’t mean two FBs and RB, that’s just one formation of power I.
Stop going off what your Jr High coach called or Techmo bowl lol.

Maybe Faulk doesn't know who it is but was told that the OC is modern in offense and gave ND fits at one point. Faulk may also be making some conclusions based on what he's been told.
It's CBK. He knows the expectation down here and he knows he needs a potent offense and defense to achieve those expectations. I trust the man.

And Paxton Lynch!
He was certainly a great college QB and Fuente and his staff did an amazing job developing him. He was super raw coming out of HS. Loved watching him play at Memphis.
Unfortunately, his work ethic was not cut out for the NFL. He had a couple of good opportunities and just never took advantage. But he and Dalton are good examples of what Fuente can do with talented QBs.
Fuente also runs a very balanced offense. Memphis always had a great ground game once he got things going in the right direction.

Fuente is a great coach, but he’s not an amazing recruiter. Norvell ran rings around him at Memphis and poor recruiting was a big reason he fell off at VT.

You mean you don’t believe the guy who does nothing but troll this board?

Kelly is bringing a lot of ex head coaches. That’s what we know so far.
My guess was Denbrock based on timing. But Fuente is pretty interesting.
