Dellenger confirms that basically nobody knows nothing

On Culotta’s show
He said he hasn’t reported much because he doesn’t know much. He hedged on pretty much every questions asked, including whether the LSU job is “open or closed”. He Also said there are 2 camps at LSU right now regarding Riley- 1 camp says they had him and he flipped, other denies everything and the search is still ongoing.
This is about as tight lipped an ordeal I can remember.
ETA- he said he has no idea about any timeline.

From what Dellenger said, it really seems like Woodward does not have anyone currently. More like we had no contact with Napier or Aranda because banking on Riley. Now that we whiffed there, we are kind of restarting the process.

He also specifically said that he believes LSU reached out to Franklin, Tucker, and Riley. And that he thinks Riley was persuaded by the "path of least resistance" to the NC.
But yes, he has no idea where things are going from here.

This makes no sense. If the search is “still going”, then it means we banked it all on Riley and lost, which is the other camp he references.
There’s no way we start our search months ago, and our search is “still going”.

I'm starting to convince myself that this is the guy. Partly because I refuse to believe it's Stoops, Campbell, Aranda, or any of the other meh hires. But also because the timing. Any of those guys would have been announced today. Doesn't make sense, unless the guy is still playing fro the playoffs (Fickell) or on Sundays (Rhule). I don't think we are going to wait for a playoff coach, so Rhule should be the logical guy Imo... They have a bye this week too, so makes sense that he wanted to get them to this point before leaving. Or maybe I'm just an optimist
