College Football writer Max Olson of The Athletic is reporting that LSU freshman defensive end Landon Jackson is entering his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.


Jackson, a former four-star pass rusher from Texarkana, TX (Pleasant Grove) appeared in five games this season. He becomes the seventh LSU player to enter the transfer portal.

I watched him locally play in HS and I was never impressed but I’m not recruiter… I have swb much better than him, we should be fine.

Why is that? He never played in 2 years at lsu so why not enter the portal to go play some place? Max Johnson was only the starter cause of what they had. At Bama he would be 3rd string at best, best for them to move on.

False. This is a really big loss. He was injured in HS and red shirted this year. He was part of last years class and has not been here two years. Johnson can hit the road but losing this edge rusher is no bueno.

Am I correct in assuming that for every transfer out we can backfill with a transfer in? If so, then this allows CBK to shape his team quicker. Hope that is correct.

No. You didn't hear? We just paid one of the best coaches in cfb millions of dollars to come here and we're cancelling the season because a handful of players are transferring. Come on man, relax. Players are going to transfer out and, hold on to your panties, transfer in!
