The Lions are 29th against the pass. I mean there needs to have been a deep dive done before taking a leap on anyone. I like the idea of getting former players involved on the staff, but not at HC or OC or DC. Let them get their feet wet coaching RBs, QBs, OL, DL, DBs, etc. This process has got to be almost immaculate.
