LSU coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters on Monday and revealed that quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has been dealing with a torso injury since fall camp.

Kelly said that they have limited Nussmeier in practice during the week to allow him to be a full-go on Saturdays.

Kelly added that his injury is not the reason for LSU's offensive issues, and they expect him to be fully healed after the bye week, following the Week 5 game at Ole Miss.

He won’t heal if you keep playing him. Period.

Healing only works if you rest. Deep sleep and recovery.

Joe Sloan needs to rest this week too and work on a better offensive game plan.

I thought I saw him favoring his left labia on the last play of the game.

Oh oh. Here come the excuses for a dreadful offense
user avatar
What dreadful offense? BK was clear they game planned that way to win the game. He also said it was obvious we could run the ball fine because of the last real play from scrimmage was a 51 yard run (even though it took 20+ run plays before that to come up with the other 51 yards rushing). If we are not happy with 220 yards passing and 51 yards rushing against a below average FL team then we (and reporters in particular who ask questions about it) are spoiled.

Is it upper torso, lower torso or an injury to the entire torso?

That makes sense.

I figured it had to be something like that. No core means no power and thus limited deep shots and running.

Something seemed off with him. That pass that got picked agaisnt LA Tech had no force behind it. This could explain the lack of deep balls...hopefully.

Let MVB either start or take over once we get a lead. Let Hurly get a few minutes also

You don't need to wait to take the lead, Both of those backup QBs are capable of winning this weeks game and you get to see what kind of backups you have.

Agree with Bat. We could probably run every single play and win comfortably this week. Mvb or Hurley can carry the Q spot to get some passing love passing work in.

Let's see if he plays this week, if he does that is a lame excuse.

I don't think Nuss would let BK lie about him.

He’s been off all season. This explains it perfectly.

Bro he’s been off since he stepped foot on campus. He just has one problem. He isn’t any good.

Alot of you guys have been saying it. So much for we don't know what we are talking about.

Sit him this week and let Van Buren and Hurly take care of business before we play Ole Miss. Get the other QB's some game experience before Ole Mis. What if Nuss gets hurt in the OM game and neither of these guys have played a good amount of time?
