Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
A recent article by NOLA.com the is week revealed how LSU is looking to bring in more money to the athletic department in the new era of College Football.

According to the report, advertisements will be displayed at the 25-yard lines at Tiger Stadium this fall, generating "multiple millions of dollars a year."
quote:

Schools were allowed to sell space on playing surfaces for the first time last year, and Cox had a logo on the floor at LSU basketball games. Now, sponsorships are coming to the football field.

LSU officials declined to identify the company that will appear in Tiger Stadium. Harris said the ads produce “multiple millions of dollars a year.” There will not be any advertisements at midfield or on the back line of the end zone, which are both permissible under NCAA rules. Harris added the design will incorporate LSU’s colors.
LSU is also considering adding sponsored patches to jerseys, pending NCAA approval.

At the same time, LSU hopes the NCAA will allow schools to sell patches on their jerseys, something Harris said also generates “multiple millions of dollars a year.” LSU has identified a partner, which officials declined to name, if the rule changes.

LSU has mapped out where the patches would go on every jersey, from cross country to football. Most of them would appear on the chest in purple and gold.

"Looks like Thomas may be a bit short, based on where the official marked the ball. The officials are calling for a Mike Anderson Seafood Measurement."

Might as well go ahead and give Clemson the Death Valley name now. We will be coca-cola stadium in 5 years

As much as I hate to admit it, Clemson actually is the original Death Valley. We acquired that name as a mistake, when folks were referring to the stadium as Deaf Valley because of how loud it was. Deaf turned to Death, and the name stuck.

Still, Eff Clemson. Geaux Tigers!

Give us a break on the hour worth of “commercial breaks” every game and I would be okay with this.

I have been a fan since I was 3 in 1959. I love the Tigers dearly. I went to LSU & got my degree because of my life long passion for LSU football & all sports .I’ll always pull for LSU in each & every sport until my last breath . But sadly I will no longer go to games( I expect prices to jump exponentially)& financially support LSU athletics. It’s not the old ball school any longer .

As if the scoreboard, the walls lining the field, signage throughout the stadium wasn't enough....
