Wendy’s (WEN) has some meme momentum going today - so decided to take a look at it. Financials are decent - still profitable and trading at 12x. They’re able to service everything current, no debt due until 2028. Big footprint and brand recognition. They just completely turned over senior management, so change has to be coming.

To add to the OP - It has a current 9% dividend yield
If Wendys is the next meme stock it'll be funny because it was always the most used reply on Reddit investing subs when someone posted big losses.
"Time to clock in bro" or something similar with a picture of a Wendys restaurant

Appears to be low risk high reward. Only concerning metric is the liability to asset ratio.
I took a small flyer on it.

I haven't been in 1 -2 years but the last time I went I couldn't believe a fast food company could stay viable with their model. maybe it's just that the workforce is horrible here.
add "How is our Wendy's still in business?" to the great unsolved mysteries.

Maybe they can afford to bring back those 1980s era Wendy's burgers.

Company is garbage - don't risk holding a bag for this dumpster. Wendy's deserves to be put behind the barn and Ol'Yellered. Workers are rude a shite, dining rooms bland as hell, food quality has been in steep decline lately because management keeps looking for corners to cut like going from leaf to shredded lettuce. There is nothing remotely appealing about Wendys now.

ETA: I bought premarket this morning I think I’m gonna stop holding things and just full port whatever reddit pump
Did pretty good on adtx
ETA2: 37% of the float is shorted

They've been closing locations near me in what seem to be good locations near nice neighborhoods. Biggie bag meal and $1 free frosty keychains make it our go to for quick meals when out and about or on road trips with the kids. Food quality and value is better than most national chains.

Just wild that the third largest hamburger fast food brand in the country has only a $1.4B market cap. I expected them to be hemorrhaging money or have some looming debt due, but they’re profitable.

Lots of opportunity in commercials saying that tagline.

Hey they landed the Minions meal, that’s gotta equate to a spike in price alone
