I mean they can’t find another CB that isn’t facing 20 years in prison?

quote:

The Seattle Seahawks are still planning to sign cornerback Terrion Arnold, but it will take a while, as they are working through the timing, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo on Tuesday. Arnold, 23, is facing eight felony charges stemming from a kidnapping and robbery in Tampa, Florida, in February. He was arrested in Hillsborough County in June after turning himself in and was released the following week by the Detroit Lions, who drafted him in the first round in 2024.

Probably the opposite. Don't commit a lot of money. If he gets convicted you don't have a significant investment. If he beats the rap you have him on a team friendly contract.

At least he didn’t do anything too bad like introducing the President of the United States, right?

I'm assuming NFL teams have some Intel that suggests he's going to be okay. Several teams were vying for him, apparently.

Thank God Arnold didn't do something hideous like agreeing with politicians or be pro life or something else taboo.

Really a stupid move on Seattles part. They guy is a criminal piece of crap. He is on audio and video exposing his role in this disaster decision he made to destroy his life.

Now that he is signed, the word is the NFL is about to put him on the Commissioners Exempt list, making him ineligible until his legal situation plays itself out. So, all that effort, the big PR hit for signing an 8 time felon and known criminal, and you get absolutely NOTHING out of it.

Brilliant move by the front office to bring this type of black eye to the franchise when they are ushering in brand new owners. I wonder if the new owner approves of having felons on their team.

I was pissed the Saints even looked at this loser.

Seattle will not re-peat. shite town. shite team.

Arnold, like most people that get arrested, was overcharged.

NFL teams have investigators and legal minds better than most police forces and district attorney offices. Multiple teams were trying to sign him.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Jets pursued him and he almost put in a guilty plea. If the Browns offered him he definitely would have pled guilty.
