I agree and favor ending up at 32 teams, but also byes don't mean auto wins for the team with the bye. In 2024 all 4 teams with byes lost to teams who didn't recieve byes.

Expanding the playoff makes me care a little less for the selection process. Now we are arguing over teams that probably aren't even ranked, so not a big deal to me like leaving out a top 5 team back when it was only a 4 team playoff.

Should play the first round the week after Thanksgiving. Army/Navy needs to be during rivalry week like it was before they moved it in 2009. Do not skip a week, so 28 teams will be done 6 days before Christmas and the championship game will be played on New Years Day.

I doubt that nearly half the teams will make a post season tournament, but 64 teams is also just like high school, so not totally crazy, and the regular season games are still important.

Also 14 of 32 NFL teams make the playoffs, so making college football more similar to both high school and the NFL seems to be sensible to me. The old way of doing things in NCAA football would appear to be an odd way of declaring a champion.

Also this way LSU fans can stop complaining about schedules. :lol:

Somebody was bragging this week that we already won the same amount of games as last year. If we play like this we might end up with the same record as last year.

Hoping Georgia is unbeaten when we play them.

Hoping Florida is too, but doubtful.

I don’t think people understand the definition of a trap game. Or maybe I don’t understand it. I have always thought of a trap game as a game where a heavily favored team looks past an underdog because they have a big game the next week, no?

This is more of a hangover game.
