Good
Golden has morphed the basketball team again, to fit the players. I don't agree with him on everything he does, but he has reasons that make sense when he does things. He is turning this team into a half court big 10 style team. I hate that style, but it fits the team. Without dynamic guards we have to become a team that plays dominantly in the paint and forces the game there. He is still working on our defense, but I think we will become a really good defensive team before the season is over. Defending and rebounding is going to be the style of play for these guys this season, so I am going to have to get used to it.

Georgia is #1 in the NCAA in points per game and we held them to their season low. I think if Boogie and Xavian can keep evolving into better team defenders, we may just have a chance to make some noise this season after all.

No, A&M had a successful coach leave for a better job and promoted an in-house flunky. No way this is the same.

You sure about that?

Because I am rooting for Ole Miss to beat our rival? Nah.

If Ole Miss can knock Georgia and Miami out of the playoffs back to back, we will be forever in their debt. Maybe they should start scheduling FSU because Bama and LSU can't beat them.

Your feelings stem from having a mutual connection of missing out on the hottest coach. Yall like the 2 ugly guys going for hot chick, then the stud (LSU) gets her, then y'all talk shite about him and her at the bar while he takers her home

This is exactly right. And while you are up listening to her whine and complain all night, we have already had sex and are getting a good night sleep.

Yep. We just had to air it out to get things back to normal.

Your bitterness towards us this season was warranted, and even though I really wanted Kiffin as our coach, I am glad now that we avoided all this mess. I don't blame it all on Kiffin, as some of it has to do with the schedule.

He does carry much of the blame to leave a team still in the hunt for a title. Some years it is just not a good idea to make a move to another school without it looking bad. But it's a free country and he should do what he wants and let the chips fall where they may.
There were 4 SEC players on the mid-season Wooden award list.

Darius Acuff Jr. Arkansas
Nate Ament Tennessee
Thomas Haugh Florida
Labaron Philon Jr. Alabama

I would also put Keyshawn Hall and Josh Hubbard on the list, and I am probably missing a few.

I think I can speak for most OTR when I say we are 100% behind you guys tonight! Kick some ibis arse!

Also are we cool now (Gators & Rebs)?
If only it worked that way....

Threads like this make me think Arkansas and Tennessee fans are first cousins.

Not to be overly persnickety, but your thread title gave me a little angst.

I can't complain about a thing Sumrall has done so far! He has really limited the roster turnover damage that usually happens when the head coach is fired.
The portal is going to have to have some adjustments. It is ridiculous to start at zero every year and build a roster in college football.
I was hoping we hired Kiffin, but I have been pleasantly surprised with Sumrall so far.
