The ACC gets no money if Notre Dame gets in over Miami.

This guy is just acting like a victim because he knows he is going to have to join the Big 10 and wants to have an excuse so it looks like their hand was forced.

They finished 11 this year. They would have been in, meaning one of the SEC teams would have been left out.

You mean 2 of the SEC teams would have been left out. Let's not discount that Vandy got screwed more than Notre Dame.

Conference titles are gone imo the second the playoffs expand with no byes .

They need to go, but they are such a huge money maker for the conferences.

Actually this year worked out perfectly for the way they used to do it when they named the national champ before the bowl games. Everyone wants to apply the playoff format to just one year, and there will rarely be a time when it fits perfectly. There will usually be teams who got in and shouldn't have, or teams who were left out, or both.

Am I missing something?

Yes you are missing the fact that the players who have the most sway don't want to play in a useless bowl game. It's 3 weeks of practice or 3 weeks of holiday during the holidays. They have all made great money, and will meet with their agents and plan their next move over the holidays and take some time off after a long season. Finals should be wrapping up and the rest of the students are going home. Most of these guys on the team are getting paid probably $10,000 a month on the low end to $200k a month so they can go without their pay for a month and be just fine lining up their next gig which may be at the same school or may not. I am going home to Florida for 3 weeks myself.

Spring workouts start in January and they are a bitch. It is nice to have some time off before that.

None of Huepel’s UCF teams would’ve beaten OSU this year.

Oklahoma State sucks this year, what are you talking about?

Yeah I think Purdue is a little overrated, but still really good. I didn't expect that esp from ISU. There are some really good teams this season. Hopefully we don't get spanked by UConn on Tuesday.

Same can be said if Heupel had stayed at UCF and won a Big 12 title.
I forgive LSU for stealing our coach that we were trying to steal.

I feel better already.

Florida will still compete for a title

Our guards have some improving to do. Lee needs to get confident he can play at this level, Fland needs to learn to play with the other 4 guys.

Tech fans are on cloud nine from their Big12 title yesterday, so hopefully we will get one or two to stop by here. Where is Angry Kansas? This is big game for him today.

And Oklahoma. At least Ole Miss was competitive. SEC hoops needs to get better quickly.
I am rooting for Bama to get in because it will be a much better melt.
