Traveling was more fun when the airports and planes weren’t full of phone zombies

Was the easiest place in the world to start a conversation for an outgoing person.
I look around now and at least 80% people are staring at their phone like zombies, many with ear buds in.

I don't want to listen to people that are blood related to me talk, much less a complete stranger. Each to his own I guess, just let me know when you book a flight so I can avoid lol

I have my headphones on even when I am not listening to anything. The less people I talk to while traveling the better.

My theory is that they can sense us. It's a talent. They don't want talk to you, they want to talk at you. I got laid a lot in my younger days by girls like this, but there was a prize at the end of the rainbow for that effort.

I’m the same way. Thankfully, I haven’t flown commercial in nearly 15 years. I don’t miss it at all.

I'm talk to someone if they talk to me but I don't go looking to talk to people in the airport.
I do like talking to people in tourists spots though. Like when traveling. But the airport i just want to get to the gate, then on the plane and let my alaprozalam kick in and pass out.

On the plane I want to zone out to a movie or tv show I am binge watching. At an airport bar sure ill have a conversation with someone especially if my flight is delayed which seems to happen all the time to me on work trips.

Agree. I have seen some amazing things looking out the window of a plane. I don’t really get it.
