Job is sending me down to NOLA next week to meet with a client, and I gotta book a room for them to stay.

Our designated client meeting guy is out on vacation…..

Which one would you choose out the two? For someone on business from NY?

Never stayed at the RS as I'm a Marriott guy, but that Ritz is one of the older ones in the system and was pretty worn the last time I stayed there

Best hotel in NOLA is the Saint Vincent.

Can’t go wrong with either one. I have stayed at the Royal Sonnesta. It is more in the middle of all the action if that is what you want.
I have never stayed at the Ritz but I have spent a lot of time at the bars and restaurants there. Everything is top notch.

If I were recommending NOLA hotels, both would be on the approved list.

Saint Vincent is beautiful. Its Uptown though so some people want to stay nearer the FQ (I wouldn't)

Ritz is a little nicer, but Royal Sonesta would put you in the middle of the quarter if that's where you want to be.

The Ritz has pretty small rooms based on the two stays I've done there.

The Windsor Court is my favorite in Nola. Or you if you don't mind blowing the travel budget, maybe try for the Four Seasons.

I’m partial to the Roosevelt. It’s a Fairmont property and my favorite when in NOLA.

The Ritz has human feces lining canal in the morning. The sonesta is loud most of the night. I would prefer the CBD. Loews, Windsor court, etc.

The Hôtel Peter and Paul is a stunningly renovated decommissioned church in the Faubourg Marigny, with a number of elegant spaces on-site. Their website contains a wealth of information about the property, the history of the neighborhood, and local businesses of particular interest. There is on-site parking, and it is a convenient Uber ride to French Quarter attractions. I think that a visiting New Yorker would find that a visit there would enhance their social prestige among their peers.

I like the Ritz.

As others have said, it's dated a bit, but has a great atmosphere and the bar is cool.

The JW Marriott is as nice, and newer, and about half the price. I stay at both frequently. The JW bar is not as fun, though.

They Hyatt Centric is between the Ritz and Bourbon St. It has nice large rooms and is the best of both worlds in my opinion.

It's now owned by Hilton, but was once a Fairmont.
