I just watched one Love on a plane this week. It was OK. Filled an hour and 46 minutes for me. But I’m sure there’s something better out there.

LSU Giving Day
Posted by contraryman on 3/25/26 at 2:56 pm
This didn’t go very far on the rant so will try the OT. This should be good
Today is Giving Day for LSU.
I know that there have been some strong opinions on the quality of LSU education and the lower standards that people perceive. Well here is a chance to do something about it.
The minimum donation is $5.00. Of course, I am sure some Ballers and Baws will do $350.
You can pick where your gift goes to support. All you would have to do is mention TIGER DROPPINGS in the comments when you submit and I can post the totals when they are available.
It is a way to support the 25,000 plus students, faculty, staff, and programs at LSU. All tax deductible.

This has nothing to do with athletics, parking tickets, or concessions.
It has everything to do with academics and betterment of LSU.

If everyone that posts (just on Tiger Rant) gave the minimum gift of $5, I wonder how much the total would be?

This also deserves a sticky at the top.

Oh wow! You are a genius. Thanks. We would be screwed without your input. I’m so happy a sound mind is coming up with this type of strategy. You must have gone to one of those schools for the advanced children. Is 74 your birth year or head size?
Seriously, I don’t think you should worry about a program that has one two of the last three National Championships. If you think for a second that sacrificing other programs to assist baseball in improvement, you should return to school and continue to play with the clay.

This was unbelievable! There was also a show in the early 90s that they opened up for Dash around Halloween that was out of this world. Scary Bill Davis clown costume, huge oddly carved pumpkin, Harley’s on stage during Born to Be Wild cover, previously mentioned pumpkin crashing into Kirk, the jerk’s head, pure mayhem!!!!
I wish I could go back in time and see both of these shows.

Interesting to hear about everyone’s experience. Ours will be finishing LSU in May and then heading to grad school out of state. When she was accepted to LSU four years ago she received a minor scholarship (5k I think), a payment for a campus job that she never got, and TOPS at the full amount it can be granted out. Our 529 funds have covered the rest. It was about 7k each semester but $3400 of that was sorority dues/fees etc. her sophomore thru senior year she also got a 5k a year scholarship from my previous employer. Because the market has done well over those years, we are only down 22k from her original amount and grad school will be doable without taking a loan (we hope). I can’t complain and wouldn’t. I have been surprisingly happy with her choice to go to LSU.

Does anyone have any cool places to stay in or around the McMinnville, Newberg, Dundee etc. area? The Mrs and I are headed there in early October to catch a Ducks game and spend a few days relaxing. Would like to find a little cottage or something. Not on a budget but not trying to spend Allyson type money. Thanks.

Good morning. Sounds like you woke up on the controversy side of the bed this morning.
SJA stopped promoting DIE standards a few years ago when they had the militant black lady who told the school that they didn’t know they were racist. The parents absolutely went nuts and she was quietly relieved of her duties.
Yes, they will continue to promote the school as Catholic because that’s what they are. They are accepting of everyone and will not let a boy who says he’s a girl into the school. Even the girls who are gay that go there keep it quiet.
My hope is the new president is more modern than Jan was. I know the school means the world to her, but the younger generation passed her by years ago.
Anyway, those are my thoughts as someone whose family put a great deal of time energy and students through that school. Also, they play for the state basketball championship today at 4 PM.
Go red stickers!

I heard that they are having to remove the Nicklaus name from the course because of the changes. Is this true? Also, that they are building some par 3 holes? Where will that be located?
