I’m at 49. Only missing Alaska. American domestic travel is great. I have reasons to revisit every state, though after about one more visit I think I am good with Delaware.

We've been to Cape Flattery in Washington (W) Key West FL (S) We will see West Quoddy Head ME in June (E) (no East Quoddy Head!) Last point is the Northwest Angle in Minnesota (N). We live in a beautiful country...

Cape Flattery = NW of contiguous 48. Cape Alava = western most point of lower 48.

40 or so. I have driven from Washington State to South Carolina once and from New Mexico to Florida or Georgia 8 times and New Mexico to California 3 times and New Mexico to Washington State twice so that is equivalent to 3 complete trips across the southern half of the US and one trip at about a 45 degree angle from the northwest to the southeast....the only ones I can think of I have not been to are in the NE....

Only Missing West Virginia, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Not really compelled to visit any, more interested in revisiting places we loved and international destinations.

All fifty. Completed it Father's Day weekend last year when I crossed into South Dakota from North Dakota:

Book'em Danno; because I got all Five-0 (states, that is).

I heard of something called "50 by 50" which is when you hit all 50 states before you turn 50 years old. I was too late for that, but had most of them, so over about the last 5 years of my 50s made it a point to get the rest.

Lots of 3-5 day weekend trips by plane and rental car, often with the daughters.

Finished it up with a 3-day weekend trip to Vermont in October 2023, 5-day trip to Hawaii in April 2024, 2 1/2-day weekend trip to Iowa & Nebraska (via Kansas City) in May 2024, and a 3-day Father's Day weekend trip in June 2024.

Sometimes you can get two at the same time:

(on the Bob Kerrey bridge at Omaha)

Also have 9 countries.

I have been in all 50, but I never left the airport in Anchorage. I had a 4-hour layover due to a sick passenger on a flight to Seoul. The mountains around the airport are impressive. That's all I have about Alaska.

25 for me, pretty much zero when it comes to the Northeast but I have almost the entire western half of the country covered minus Alaska and New Mexico.
