I've been to 34 so far. I didn't realize I had been to so many, but it would be cool to visit all of them.

I have been in or driven through 47 with at least a stop.

MIssing ND, HI, VT. Vermont is supposed to be nice (IE mountains) so i'd like to go. ND seems a bit empty and far, and Hawaii seems nice but very far, so those two might take a long time.

The average OTer has been to 4. Live in LA and drives to FL every summer

I have done 18 states. Wife & I had plans to hit Cal, Sea & Wash one year, then several of the NE states the next; but went the kids route first. So those 2 trips will be put off until they are older.

That sounds miserable as shite, like the states I clocked taking a Greyhound from Indianapolis to San Fran.

It wasn't bad at all. Got to see a lot of amazing things both natural and man-made that would have been missed by just flying to a destination.

A few off the top of my head:
The falls in Sioux Falls, SD
Cresting a hill and seeing the Missouri River outside Chamberlain, SD
Watching the Bighorn Mountains grow on the horizon from I-90 in Wyoming.

All 50 plus Puerto Rico and the USVI. The only states I haven’t been to at least twice are North Dakota, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Hawaii.

Been to every state except Hawaii, and that will happen in December.

I love both, and have hit the international stuff hard the last few years. But in a year or two I'll move from that to a continuous road trip in the US that will last a few years.

47, I'm missing Montana, Alaska, and Hawaii. Since my retirement from trucking, I enjoy road trips on the back roads now. Love small towns and landscapes of the different states.

I've probably been to more countries in Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean than I have U.S. states.

I'm at 33, so need to get to work on the rest.

My son is 7 and has been to 25 so will be ahead of me in no time. He's getting in Alaska as number 26 this summer.
