re: Amazon Prime Shipping Issue

I have been passed around to 4 chat agents now. All give me the same canned lines. As soon as I threaten to cancel prime they transfer me. Each time I assumed it was to a manager who might actually help get my shite to me. Their customer service is much weaker than it once was. The few issues I've had in years past were fixed and made me happy as a customer. This shite just keeps making me more frustrated with canned answers of understanding and promising to make my deliveries a priority.
quote:
Imran: Beleave me it was not our intention. I will inform our delivery department to deliver your package as soon as possible without any further delay.
Me: I'd assume that would be the normal state of a late package
So now late packages have to have a chat opened that drags out for an hour to have them made a priority to redeliver?
Is it possible to escalate this to a manager?
I've been passed around to 4 agents now all have made me reiterate the same things over and over
Imran: I understand how frustrating this will be for you. I will definitely make sure that this things will not be repeated in future

Got an email Wednesday saying couldn't deliver since no one was home. I have a camera, usps never showed. They left it on the porch today - no one was home.

It's all crap. We will see a mass Exodus from prime soon. I would cancel mine today but my wife says she watches a lot of prime tv shows so I'm stuck.

That's why I'm not canceling. We use the shite out of prime TV and Music and I utilize the cloud photo backup.

Good news! Amazon says the BR facility is now fixed. Anyone want to verify or refute?
They just sent me a picture of my shipment at someone else's front door and it was a third party seller, so Amazon just ate the cost of both items with free overnight service to replace. Keep hammering them and making them pay every time they don't hold up their end of the deal.

Not done with using Amazon, but won't renew prime. Ordering things this year for Christmas showing up 3-4 days late. It hasn't put us out for anything yet, but I'll just let the regular shipping take over instead of paying $120 for 2 day, which hasn't happened in months.

Ordered a couple of items. Amazon supposedly packaged both into a single package. Opened the package and only one of the two orders arrived.
Amazon said since the item that didn’t arrive was from a third party seller all they could do was refund and have me reorder and they would waive the fee on one day shipping.
One day shipping was not listed as an option. Oh well. Not a huge deal but it just continues to be a hassle when it never was before they made these stupid changes.
I am also not a fan at all of Amazon continuing to allow their drivers deliver in their personal vehicles. One kept stopping in the middle of the road and running the packages to each door without pulling over. Just dumb.

3 packages via prime scheduled for deliver on Monday of last week. Get updates packages was delayed, then yet another delay. Finally packaged delivered on Thursday evening late. All is good. Shipping status still showing delayed next day. Receive message from Amazon on Saturday that packages were damaged in transit and being returned, credit will be issued. Called Amazon told them the situation and they informed me to discard the items or donate to charity but refund had been issued. Merry Christmas to me.

This happened to me a few years ago, but with FedEX.
They tried to say they made am attempt, but I had proof they never did. I think companies are overwhelmed this time of the year and just make excuses.

That is a dumb business model. Customer calls to inform they actually received product. Amazon employee doesn’t know how or is too lazy to cancel refund. You go ahead and keep those for free. LOL

I have a packaged that was delivered last week that still shows on the site as late.
USPS delivered the item and their tracking number shows it late as well

You call Amazon dumb

Have you thought about return shipping costs? Labor to restock the item? Having to sell the item again being it's not "new"?
Seems like a pretty easy decision on low profit items

Is Amazon the biggest online retailer to charge you to return items? Most places I've ordered from have free return shipping if the product you order doesn't work. It's why I love Zappos. Pretty sure Target offers free return shipping, though I may be thinking in-store returns.
I went to return something ordered through Amazon yesterday and they were going to charge me $22 shipping to return something that only cost $40. Granted it's a large item(cooler) but that is just ridiculous. It was ordered through Prime. I get it takes manpower to re-stock items, but that's almost your entire business model! Seems like that should be cooked into the annual Prime membership fee.

Is it something walmart carries? If so, just take it there and say that you lost the receipt. You'll get store credit for it, but that is way better than coming out of pocket $22.

I've done that before, but I'll probably end up just keeping it.

Just keep changing the reason why you are returning it until it's $0

Ha! Not sure why I didn't think of that. Glad I kept the box it was shipped in. Sending it back today now. Thanks!

I used to use the shite out of my prime when I lived in a rural area with only a dollar general. But now I live 5 minutes from a giant outdoor shopping mall and don’t use it like i used to. I guess I keep it for for the occasional package and tv shows/movies.
