For that budget, bump up to the 85" Sony. You won't regret it.

I have four TCL Roku TVs in my house and patio, one more than four years old. I certainly recommend that brand.

We have a 75" Hisense in the living room and it's been a good TV so far. It's was around 1k or so.

You set on the size? For that price you can get a loaded 75.

Can’t you get a decent one from Sam’s etc for way under $2000?

The A90L is also available in larger sizes probably less than $2k. Much better then Hisense, TCl or some other random TV.

Best all rounder OLED under 2K would be the Samsung S90C. You can easily get larger sets under 2K that will satisfy the average person but 65" may be the physical limit or the limit of SAF. But if you are looking for the highest quality set and will have it in a place that allows for the OLED panel to shine then you won't beat the S90C.

In this day and age, is it really possible to totally avoid that stuff? I mean if you believe all the theories about TikTok, corporations and governments listening to everything you say through your phone, etc., then unless you go live in a shack in the swamp with 0 electronics, this is just a losing battle IMO.

I'm sure my roomba has already stored naked pictures of me on the dark web somewhere as blackmail if I ever step out of line. It is what it is.
