Argentina will not win a WC this year if they play like that for the remainder of the games

Argentina 100% gets that throw in and probably more if they retain possession.

I’m ready for England to be introduced to CONCACAF shenanigans and 70+ thousand tequila soaked Mexicans going nuts

Why did they not kick the corner there?

This should be an example for anybody who has doubts that the US is capable of competing with the "elite" teams.
shite's different on American soil.

Argentina looked overmatched and resorted to constant bush league flopping.

Great point
We're better than Cabo Verde
Belgium isn't as good as Argentina
If we put forth 90% of the effort CV did, we can win

They looked like they paced themselves for a 90 minute game and got more than they bargained for. It’s a shame that Cape Verde couldn’t pull it off, but still one of the best games I’ve ever watched.

Man I feel for CV but they come out as winners regardless. What an awesome story.

And when they "struggle" they're almost always controlling the game
This was an exceptionally rare instance of a minnow going toe-to-toe in open play

Damn. Spain. Uruguay. Argentina. None could beat CV in 90 minutes.

Messi got picked for a post match drug test.

Was that CV goal of the tourney?
Posted on 7/3/26 at 7:58 pm to lsuson
CV best get a heroes welcome and day long celebration when they get home.
Just amazing from them.

Is scoring one of the craziest goals in history of the world cup and then running into the stands and demanding to see your girl one of the wildest celebrations in sports history.
Absolute cinema

You think FIFA would let Argentina lose this game?
First time?
