Because the middle class has been disappearing for the last 40 years...intentionally.

That leaves a somewhat larger upper class and a much much larger lower class. That lower class sees one thing: unaffordability: the inability to steward their resources for a better life or even the same life as their parents.

And socialism, however wrong and misguided it may be, seems like an answer.
A school like Texas Tech didn't suddenly get really good at coaching, developing players, and kitchen table recruiting visits.

Billionaire alumni bought a CFP team.

Michigan State alumnus about to do the same thing.

I love the Longhorns but seven win Sark didn't just suddenly become a great head football coach
I am a Texas alum and fan...but I don't like buying a new roster every year to get into a playoff. It's not a "college" sport anymore. It's minor league NFL with 6 and 7 figure payouts to young kids simply for pretending to be a student at a school.

I have no problem with teams opting out of meaningless bowl games.

Nothing to gain. A lot to lose.

At the VERY LEAST, get rid of the CCGs. Alabama got destroyed yesterday and it didn't affect them at all. And I have nothing against Bama.

Notre Dame, again a team I have no connection to, did not play and got moved down. And Miami, another team that did not play, got moved UP.

Something has to change
"The love of money is the root of all evil"

College football needs to die in its current iteration.

NIL is ruining this once great sport.

The CFP is a failure as every other bowl game means absolutely nothing. Either get rid of half these bowl games or go back to some sort of voting system with at most a final 4.

Players getting a reasonable cut is fine . But this is now out of control.

Something drastic needs to change.

The whole thing is beyond ridiculous at this point.

ND is in at 9

And Alabama will be in at 10

I don't agree but that's how it will be.

The committee will use Alabama as a buffer between ND and Miami so they don't have to account for the H2H loss

I don't think Alabama should get in. But they will.

Indiana
Georgia
Ohio St
Texas Tech
Oregon
Ole Miss
A&M
OU
ND
Alabama
Tulane
JMU

Duke winning will actually help Alabama.

Why? Because putting Miami in while the champion of their conference does not get in would be odd.

I don't agree with it but that's what the committee will use
James Madison at Oregon will be

...interesting
It's not that they should be penalized for losing an "extra" game.

It's HOW THEY LOOKED while losing it.

They haven't looked like a CFP team since mid Oct and looked terrible today. And THAT is why they don't belong

A 2 loss BYU team will most definitely be dropped at least 3 spots in the rankings.

A 3 loss Alabama team won't be dropped?

Makes perfect sense. Lol
9 -12 should be:

Miami
ND
Virginia (if they win tonight)
Tulane
Neither team should get in
Again...this will not end up a blowout.

And everyone knows why.
If Alabama loses 35-10 they aren't in "no matter what ".

Let's just say the SEC refs are not going to let this turn into a blowout.

Someone just left a message for Herbstreit. Not 30 seconds after making the case for ND and Miami getting in if Bama gets blown out he backtracks. Lol
Virginia will be the 11 seed if they win tonight and likely play Ole Miss in a 1st round game
I disagree. Miami needs to root hard for Georgia blowout over Alabama.

Enough of a blowout to leave them out and replace them with Miami
