That would be conceding that VAR and the Ref saw it wrong. It's not happening

Belgium is old and slow, but still very technical. We need to get them in a track meet. If we can open the game up we will score, and win. If we allow them to have possession they will scores

I think it was a bad red card, especially with the way the game was being officiated, but it isn’t something that likely gets overturned.

I'm optimistic. Pessimists are pussies imo.

1 hundo.

We're a spread team if there ever is one in this game.

By far the most important matchup will be Doku vs Freeman. We limit Doku, U.S. wins imo.

3-5-“2” with Reyna playing off of Pepi may be the best option.

Pepi can’t do what Balogun does, but with Reyna playing off of him they could be dangerous.

Would much rather McKinnie play that role, as he did at times this season with Juventus.

This is a good fricking team. They didn't die after the red card like a lot of us fans did. We're capable of beating Belgium down our guy but I bet we win the red card appeal.
realism is that the red card won’t be overturned.

I didn’t doubt we’d win after he was sent off tonight. Pessimism is believing we can’t win without Balogun. As you put it, don’t be a pussy.

Why didn’t VAR call over the ref for the pick play?

It’s such a fricking dumb rule. Dzeko intentionally does a moving pick full speed into Adams and there’s no call. Literally it’s a fricking set play Bosnia is running.

Balogun is being fouled by the Bosnian player and as he’s falling his foot lands on the Bosnian player and it’s a red card.

It’s the dumbest rule in sports and it’s exhibit A of why Europe is falling behind the rest of the world. They should be embarrassed their sport has that rule.

With as corrupt as FIFA is lets swing our big money dick around and then (after they overturn the red card) arrest them for corruption as part of a bribery sting operation

It’s hard to believe it had been 24 years since we last won a knockout game at the World Cup.

Was suprised how passive Bosnia seemed after the red. They were content to ole’ it around in their half for way to long

ESPN is reporting that the VAR team went outside protocol, using slow motion and stills, to recommend a review. They’re supposed to review it at game speed.

That could be interesting.

There is no mechanism to overturn a red. He will be out vs Belgium.

They weren’t very good on the ball

When the officials didn’t follow protocol to issue the red, there should be.

VAR broke their own rules to recommend the review by the referee.

I think they panicked. They didn't expect us to keep attacking. They had 15ish minutes to actually do something before we scored the 2nd. After that it was just desperation.

Saw Bosnia play in person in group stage, probably the most boring team in the tournament.
