With their A team too if I’m not mistaken

The end tonight sucked, but I'm not mad about the overall performance.
It's frustrating because Poch has been preaching closing out halves, games, etc. with focus and not letting stuff like that happen and it happened in the WC tune ups and again in this game. Hopefully it's just a backups thing and the full squad is good to go.

Expected more from zendejas
Didn’t play a lot. But its your first action at a world cup and you are walking with the ball. Drive to the goal and create opportunities

Everyone knows it didn't matter as far as advancing goes, but team USA is playing for a lot more than that. They are playing to win over fans like me who watch all the major sports and not soccer. And it doesn't matter. They can continue on being a niche sport for the next century for all I care. My dance card stays full with sports. Which reminds me I need to check some baseball scores.
That's the most retarded thing said tonight.
And one guy said that we needed to bounce back from this loss by getting a win next game. It's a single elimination tournament

Aaronson’s botch was one of the lowlights. Should’ve gone up 3-2 there
would be fine if I didn’t see McKenzie, Robinson, Aaronson, Weah, or Turner get another minute at this WC

Weah was the worst player on the field. He looked slow and like he was agitated about something. It was bad to watch.

I’m worried about our defense. Our starters will be better but our back line was very exposed in this game . In fact each of Türkiye’s goals was because of a glaring defensive mistake

It’s a STEEP drop off on defensive talent and we have no one close to what Richards, Ream, and Jedi provide.
Even them Ream is gonna get raped if we face a team with some pace. He's good enough tactically to handle most threats but his legs are lacking.

I thought Trusty was ok. Wouldn't mind seeing him if Freeman has to sit.

There’s a reason our backline looks terrible every time Ream and Richards don’t play. They are our only two competent CBs.
Luckily they’re both healthy and in form right now. And they didn’t play tonight and their replacements fricked up and led to three goals

Pepe is not good, the back 4 tonight are not good. After 14-15 the drop off is steep like others have said, I think this serves as a motivator and we will come out firing against Bosnia- everything in front of us and we have a good squad-

Trusty did well all things considered. Honestly the best of the 2s in the starting 11.
Y'all can say what you want but I like berhalter and enjoy his passion for the Jersey. Kid plays hard every minute he's out there. Don't @ me

He was the only one of our guys that got me angrily yelling at my TV tonight. Brutal.

There are a lot of new posters here, which is awesome, and I love the excitement the country has right now for this team.
That being said, I do think if it’s not a sport you watch a ton, I’d try to ask more questions or be more understanding of the people who do watch a ton more games.
Not to say that you can’t know ball if you don’t watch a ton, but there are definitely some people here who are acting like experts when they haven’t watched a game in almost 4 years

Berhalter and Trusty did themselves the most favors tonight for sure.

I don’t know a whole lot about Weah but was this an over exposure issue or is he really that technically poor?

Will all 10 starters be playing every minute of every half to the Finals? Is that what we are going with because if you don’t have 15 potential starters and Turkey is a very poor opponent in terms of depth so our 9-15 can’t beat a bottom tier WC squad?! Every WC this happens to the US fanbase and every WC it’s going to be different this time lol We are what we are
Posted on 6/25/26 at 11:40 pm to Rip Torner
Turkey on paper is easily the best of the three teams we played. Most advanced metrics had them as the favorite to win the group before the tournament. They dominated their first two games and just couldn’t finish or get a lucky bounce to go their way. The fact that you keep saying they’re bad kind of invalidates everything else you say.
Also yes Ream/Richards/Adams/Freese will absolutely play every minute of every game until the finals barring injury, suspension or a big lead with a few minutes left.

To be fair I was way more pissed at him for staying offsides than anything he did technically. I actually thought that Turkish defender had him in the gulag for most of the night
