McKenzie should not see another minute. Culpable on all three!

I was clearly responding to his comment about the last second goal in which all those players were on the field. No one is saying anything about the other goals in the game.

IIRC they said 9 starters were different from the Australia match... and of the 5 subs used other than CP10 was any other regular brought in?

People will say the game didn't matter, obviously it didn't matter to advancing, but The Poch didn't put the starters in because it didn't matter.
Everyone knows it didn't matter as far as advancing goes, but team USA is playing for a lot more than that. They are playing to win over fans like me who watch all the major sports and not soccer. And it doesn't matter. They can continue on being a niche sport for the next century for all I care. My dance card stays full with sports. Which reminds me I need to check some baseball scores.

Exactly. The only thing this hurts is momentum. A little wake-up call isn’t the worst thing with the B team in. CP looked fit as well. Refocus.

And at the end of the game when we gave up the winning goal our best and most veteran defenders are Adams/Antonee Robinson/Ream/Richards who all weren’t in the game. And Turner showed why he got supplanted by Freese. So 5 of our key back 6 players weren’t in the game.

Care that Pepi, Reyna and Weah looked like pure arse. We need those guys if we want to make a deep run.
I mostly agree with this except on Weah. Weah hasn’t been in form for awhile for club or national team. I don’t want to see him again, and I don’t think we need him.
His only saving grace is that Aaronson was bad too.

Sure thing, you have never played a competitive sport in your life at any level if you think the US squad didn’t want to win prior to the game. Just because the US dominated ball possession is more of a reflection of Turkey’s formation not an indicator of sheer dominance. Turkey had very few runs but made use of them, welcome to soccer

think the momentum of the 3rd win was HUGE - especially since we came out playing for it from the start (despite the mass subs).
You made a claim, then completely contradicted your claim all in the same sentence.
It's kinda impressive. Sad, yes. But still somewhat impressive.
You can't say that we put priority on winning this game "for momentum", then say "despite playing the backups) instead of the starting IX.
Poche only cared about getting some game experience in for the backups and seeing what they needed to work on for the future.

That's what was shocking. Weah has been one of our best players for the past few years and he just looked like shite tonight. Turned the ball over constantly, couldn't stay onsides, and my God he got outran when the ball was in a a dangerous place.

Did I miss something? I thought Turner was fine. He was good coming out for crosses and claims.
Yeah, he wasn’t bad. Maybe could’ve done a little more on the last goal, but I need to go back and watch it.
All of Turkey’s goals came inside the 6. Can’t be mad at the keeper that his backline is shite

I’m glad Poch did what he did by resting the starters and playing the B squad for rotation.

The announcers sucked arse tonight
I don't understand why FOX gives us Strong and Holden instead of Darke and Donovan, but whatever.
The end tonight sucked, but I'm not mad about the overall performance. If anything, this result should get the guys even more focused and galvanized for Bosnia.

So they can never lose a game in literally the last minute and have you as a fan? OK then, bye. Best of luck. Don't let the door hit your where the good lord split you.

Team was never going to win 8 games in a row. Even winning 5 in a row to make the quarters is hard.
Now we only have to win two in a row to make the quarters. Three in a row to make the semis.

Anyone reacting to this L has lost their mind.
What did we learn? What we already knew - we don’t have depth behind our starters.
It’s a STEEP drop off on defensive talent and we have no one close to what Richards, Ream, and Jedi provide.
We also do not have a serviceable 9 beyond Balogun. A simple example is that last chance for Pepi…Balogun is a step quicker and puts that in the back of the net and Pepi doesn’t.

The fact that you think Turkey is a team "we should have handily beaten" with a fully rotated lineup only shows your "welcome to soccer" bs is just you projecting. You don't know ball.
