I'm struggling to find any positive about the performance...it's miraculous we are taking 3 points from this match.

Antony, Garnacho, Mount, Rashford all shite today. We need Hojlund to get fit quick.

Three points is three points. No one gives a shite at the end of the season.

Midfield didn’t looked balanced

Drop Mount farther back.

Casimero had no protection or coverage

Was coming here to say exactly this. Mount was caught too far up the field on transition pretty much anytime the ball was turned over.

Obviously we got killed in transition but I think it was more due to sloppy turnovers in the final 3rd. Sancho looked better than he ever has in a United shirt yesterday, I think playing him as a false nine with Rashford and Antony running in behind will have to be the lineup going forward. Garnacho just isnt quite physically there yet to go 90 against grown arse men, and at this point in his career he would be better utilized running at tired legs. Also utilizing Sancho as a false nine will allow Bruno and Mount to drop a bit deeper and not leave Casemiro so isolated.

Also I think we may have under estimated Wolves quite a bit. They are clearly bought in atleast right now and played a very physical game which we didn’t look up for at this point in the season

You're spot on about everything, IMO. Let Garnacho do more of what he did last season.

Passing needs to improve massively as well. We are taking way too long to pick passes in transition and we are inaccurate in the final third.

I've said from the jump that the midfield 3 of Casemiro/Mount/Fernades won't work. We need that Amrabat signing to come thru so we can bolster that midfield with a defensively stout player. Mount is going to have to earn his place.

Fabrizio is reporting that Maguire is staying with the Club. Apparently couldn't agree with personal terms.

Says he thinks he'll have plenty of opportunity to play this season.

I just don’t see this club ever doing anything special until the glazers sell.

I hope English fans start booing Maguire as well

I think it can work if Shaw is used more centrally to help cover, but the problem was Mount was too far up field before possession was gained. I don't think it was tactics so much as execution.

Looks like Greenwood is coming back. Hopefully he can return to form this year but with that much time off I’m not expecting it

Either that or they'll loan him out I would guess are the two options here is the official statement:

quote:

Following the dropping of all charges against Mason Greenwood in February 2023, Manchester United has conducted a thorough investigation into the allegations made against him.

This has drawn on extensive evidence and context not in the public domain, and we have heard from numerous people with direct involvement or knowledge of the case.

Throughout this process, the welfare and perspective of the alleged victim has been central to the club’s inquiries, and we respect her right to lifelong anonymity.

We also have responsibilities to Mason as an employee, as a young person who has been with the club since the age of seven, and as a new father with a partner.

The fact-finding phase of our investigation is now complete, and we are in the final stages of making a decision on Mason’s future.

Contrary to media speculation, that decision has not yet been made and is currently the subject of intensive internal deliberation. Responsibility ultimately rests with the Chief Executive Officer.

Once made, the decision will be communicated and explained to the club’s internal and external stakeholders.

This has been a difficult case for everyone associated with Manchester United, and we understand the strong opinions it has provoked based on the partial evidence in the public domain. We ask for patience as we work through the final stages of this carefully considered process.
