Offsides is fine in soccer.
The only rule I would change is that the player that earns a penalty has to take it. If it's a handball situation, then the last offensive player to strike it takes the penalty.

All I can say is damn what a match….it delivered at every level….certainly the best international match I’ve ever witnessed I think.

with no offsides rule the game turns into pack the box and hoof the ball into a crowd of people. it definitely isn't fun to watch

Can we talk about how cool Dybala was? He came on at 120+1, had a nice first touch, and then was cool as ice on his penalty.
I thought it a bad idea to put a cold player on for penalties, but obvs the manager knew his player.
