Im into it wth someone at work about whether US and Russia agreed after the cold war that the Nato would stay out of Ukraine.
Goodle says otherwise. Us never made that aggreement.
But i have seen interviews with JFK JR and some other old guy that said we very much did in the early 90s.

Probably.
Zelensky has all of Western Europe to ask for help. It is not the job of the United States to babysit Ukraine. If Ukraine is not getting the help it needs from Western Europe, why aren’t those countries being criticized more heavily? I’m not saying that those countries have to babysit Ukraine, but if we’re going to be criticized for not fighting this war for Ukraine, then Western Europe should be, too.

In fairness to that guy, we and other Western governments cozied up to him and teased NATO membership to antagonize Putin.
Then when Pooty Poot invaded, we all sat around like Steve "did I do that?" Urkel" and called Putin a monster. He thought we had his back. The Biden Administration just had its thumb up its butt.

I share in this belief. I don’t think Team Biden thought it would last as long as it has so they chose to make some $$ off the deal via generals or Z himself.
