Every peace deal that has been turned down the next one is always worse. Zelensky doesn't want peace. He is.finished if peace comes. No way he wins.another election.or if he caves on territory the nationalists will remove him.

If Trump walks, Ukraine will eventually receive surrender terms after losing at least eight oblasts up.to the Dnieper.

and that doesn’t make you question whether or not the negotiations are in good faith?

Not sure if you’re serious at all with this bizarre comment.

If you've followed his posts you'd know his favorite tactic, other than attacking other posters, is to ask really stupid questions similar to "Have you stopped beating your wife?"

He must think it makes him look smart when it's just his way to post something that adds nothing to the thread and requires no thought.

I am not upset. Posting about Zelensky and Ukraine trying to derail peace negotiations when Witkoff is meeting with Putin is just pointing out how Zelensky is a liar when he says he wants peace. We all knew that anyway from his prior actions.

I’m sure you were upset at Russia as well, when Putin launched massive missile attacks all across Ukraine a few days ago, derailing the chances of a ceasefire, when it seemed like one could happen. Especially since all you really want is peace and for all the senseless killing to stop. You’re not Pro-Russian or anything like that.

No that just tells me that Ukraine is losing and going the wrong direction. The terms are getting worse because the realty on the ground has changed. Ukraine has been losing this war for the last two years.

No one is supporting it. Dishonesty is a constant them on behalf of you Ukraine Bros.

It’s simply a reflection of reality. Ukraine lost its largely Russian ethnic territories. They’re not going back. Not without sending this war to a massive, even bloodier, more dangerous escalation with uncertain outcomes. And who knows what would happen if there was a possibility of Ukrainian retaking because most of those people don’t want to be under an openly hostile and repressive Ukrainian regime. That’s not supporting Russian conquest. That’s accepting the reality of the situation.

Give up your toxic, naive neocon world philosophy.

Putin’s goal of a conquest of Ukraine is reflective of reality.

Not my problem you cannot see that.

Your Ukraine guys would be in much, much better shape if they had taken the peace deal brokered by Turkey a few years ago.

But we sent the buffoon Boris Johnson to tell Zelenskyy to fight on under the naive idea that Russia must be defeated on the battlefield.

Bad decision.

Saw this quote in a news article. Doesn't sound like something a party wanting peace would say publicly:

quote:

Asked if Ukraine had a hand in the killing of Major General Yaroslav Moskalik in Moscow, Sak refused to be drawn. But he added: “The more Russian military men die, the fewer Ukrainian children will die. So, no regrets about that incident and let’s hope it’s not the last one.”

Trump will remove the US from Ukraine, much more gracefully than Biden left Afghanistan.

I foresee Russia starting to pick off European Military figures in Ukraine

They don't want a war with Europe, so I don't see them intentionally killing any NATO or EU officials. But I imagine that at some point they are going to intensify their efforts to strike Ukrainian military leadership.

Everything seems naive prior to Trump getting elected.

If they had known the USA would do a 180 and go all in to support Putin’s talking points then they may not have.

Taking a strong stand also made more sense in the beginning. But now it has been three years, and Russia is well entrenched in eastern and southeastern Ukraine, with practically no possibility of Ukraine recovering that land in this conflict. Ukraine bungling two years of counteroffensives basically cemented that.

The circumstances now are very different than they were three years ago.

I still remember dumb, bloodthirsty neocons like John McCain repeatedly saying that the Taliban must be defeated lol.

Another massive waste of lives and money.

"False dichotomy"? You stupid fricking idiot. Are you trying to say, "false analogy"?

If so, you're partly right in that we weren't even at war with Iran when Trump assassinated one of their generals for Israel. At least Zelensky is trying to kill generals that are attacking his homeland.

I can see that.

However, Ukraine has watched Russian military cross their border in 2014 and then in 2022. They know who they are dealing with.

Absent any security guarantees like NATO protection, that only means that the rest of Ukraine will be taken with the next invasion.

If Z wants us to pull our resources from Ukraine and let Russia just arse frick them, mission accomplished.

They don’t want to accept having lost a number of provinces of their country but they are about to lose the whole fricking country instead. Talking about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I think having shite canned elections the past few years and outlawing the opposition ensures he won’t be getting reelected.

He will either be a dictator for life or lined up against a wall. Possibly both.
