Putin is a weird guy when it comes to in person contact tbh. Probably KGB fears in the back of his head.

What the hell are we doing here people?

Several years into this war that everyone knows Russia will win if left to die on the vine. We want peace, for Russia to stop the invasion and to maybe even give back some land - but here we are calling the Russian leader short and scared, while cheering on the Ukraine leader calling the Russian leader scared.

At what point in time did people get so serious about things they are obviously not serious about? You don’t have to pick sides here to see that Zelensky’s behavior does not align with what he says he wants

What a bunch of childishness. He doesnt need to meet with Putin, he doesnt even need to go to Turkey.

Russia keeps the territory they reclaimed, he will not join NATO, and it ends.

Cargo pants is as bad as hamas, negotiate while your people die til nothing is left to negotiate with.

Let him defend what is left himself. WTF should other people defend is "safe zone" for him?

Russia continues to gain territory every day and now they are mounting for a real spring offensive, unlike the "vaunted" one of the ukes 3 years ago.
Any delays in peace further the losses of land people by the ukes.

Putin probably is scared, and he’s smart to be. Putin is a guy who has cleverly used radiation poisoning to eliminate his dissenters. I’m guessing he would have a healthy fear of his opponents, who have better technology, doing something similar.

Some people are just naturally afraid of midgets. I think Zelensky is a piece of shite, he is running out of pockets to stash all the money he's stolen from the U.S.

Calm down and stop whining about every little thing. Don’t take his words so seriously. It’s just a starting point for negotiations.

Putin isn’t afraid. He just wants more time to squeeze more out of Zelensky with the aid of Putin’s closest ally, Trump.

Z must be a formitable opponent for Putin to be scared. Putin has a black belt in Judo and is former KGB.

In a hand to hand situation Im pretty sure Putin could kill Z without much effort.

old school mano a mano, winner takes all.

No reason for innocent people to keep dying.

Hell, they could sell worldwide pay-per-view to rebuild.

Losing land to the country you're at war at doesn't exactly scream "owning" to me. You guys are delusional about Z's efficacy.

It does when Russia was supposed to win in less than three months. Russia and Putin had every possible material advantage one could imagine going into this war and yet hasn't achieved a single stated strategic goal in three years, and the single biggest reason for that has been Vladimir Zelensky. It's hard to see anyone else having so much success against the Russians, God bless'em.

Zelensky's only job - and I mean only - is to keep Ukraine independent and Vladimir Putin's only goal is to take all of the Ukraine. As such, Z has absolutely owned him.

In this post I learned that Leopold felt that Russia had a massive material advantage over the combined forces of all of Nato going into the war.

No. You learned that Leopold knew that Russia had a massive material advantage over Ukraine going into this war.

You see that same type of post in the OT Ukraine Bros thread. They will never admit even after the NYT article said in detail NATO funded with hundreds of Billions of dollars Equipment,Planning, Surveillance,Weapons Systems, Artillery, Fire Control. With all that support Ukraine should have been in Crimea at the end of 2023

No. The Ukrainians know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Russians are coming to take their land, shoot their men, rape their women, and kidnap and 're-educated' their own children. The horror stories coming out of Ukraine, even coming from the Russians themselves, confirm this. So, there is no way the Ukrainians are going to give up.

Combine this with the overwhelming incompetence and stupidity of the Russian military and this means this war is going on for years to come. The Russians can't do combined arms, have no NCO corps, have lost the technical and material edge the once had, have fallen behind in drone technology and tactics, and their own leadership is being taken to the woodshed by the Ukrainians. Their morale sucks, their economy sucks, their leadership sucks, and this is all just the beginning of the criticism.

So, even if every country on the planet turned their back on the Ukrainians this war is going to continue and become ever bloodier. Honestly, I'll bet anyone here an avatar bet that Russia falls out before the Ukraine, either because of a coup against Putin, or a popular uprising, or the Russian economy completely falling apart, or whatever. But Ukraine is going to outlast them.

Zelensky's, and the whole of the Ukranian people, behavior is 100% in synch with what say they want - they want the Russians out. They don't use abstract ideas and statement about 'peace,' they want the invading, raping, killing, kidnapping army that Russia is, gone.

No, I've stated that we have absolutely - and smartly - given the Ukrainians billions of dollars of aid leading up to this war. Here, I'll help you:

Leopold says that The United States, under the guidance of both the Trump and the Biden administrations, gave billions of dollars of aid before this war began.

But even with that that aid the Russians had an incredible advantage over the Ukranians:

Russia Dwarfs Ukrainian Military Resources

Our aid hasn't changed that given the sheer numbers of equipment the Russians had before the war, especially since so much of their current military power and, thusly, strategy is built around the size of their population over Ukraine. Our aid doesn't give the Ukrainians any more citizens to draw from, while Russia uses theirs as cannon fodder.

The Russians had an exponentially greater military going into this war. Their greed, stupidity, and laziness has neutralized that.
