You are either for freedom or tyranny. There is no middle ground.

If you think you can force people to do things that their conscience disagrees with; you are for tyranny.

That's the bottom line. The reasons do not matter. They are wholly irrelevant. There are millions of individualized situations, each one has it's pros and cons. Each person must be free to decide for themselves what to do in life.

It's been proven that humans will accept slavery if it is combined with a few comforts.

We’re all slaves in one form or another.
Debt is the ultimate cause of slavery.

I need to know what you think the USA will be like in 10-15 years.

For our own good, it's probably time that this nation breaks on philosophical lines.

Yep, and many people are choosing tyranny.

Common sense and not taking unnecessary risks is pretty much in the middle.

You do realize even in very red/blue states, there are still huge numbers of the opposite side living there, right?

Nope, that was 2019.

Our future is more like:

Nope, draw the lines and let people decide to move where they want. The fundamental differences between the two mean that we are marching toward conflict, especially since people are advocating things that have real negative effect on others.

People will migrate.

I thought the same and then I watched a video that required an amendment to that conclusion. It was a poll of elderly E. German citizens who were young adults during the rule of the Stasi.

Question: 'Is life much better in a free Germany?'

The only ones to say 'NO' were women. After watching all these left wing riots I am convinced that a large percentage of females have no problem with slavery as long as they feel taken care of.

You're gonna force people to do it? Pay them to do it?

I disagree politically with a lot of people in South Louisiana, but I love it here and it is my home. I'm not going to move regardless of new lines being drawn.

I agree. But you aren't allowed to anymore. They are forcing the issue and making people choose a side. Take the vaccine for instance. What if you have legitimate concerns over blood clots, myocarditis, anaphylaxis, seizures, or death? All of these are possible and recognized side effects of the mRNA shots. However remote of a chance they are, they are still possible. Are you just supposed to take it anyway and roll the dice? Do you agree with forcing people to take it knowing that some WILL get these reactions? Do you think that is ethical?

It seems that they are forcing the moral conundrum of the trolley problem into reality:

There is little (no?) room in your simplistic formulation for a social compact. Is there room for anything but anarchy? If a majority of citizens vote for speed limits but you, in good conscience, disagree, is there room in your system for the majority to compel you to pay a fine?

That's your choice. It's called freedom. Some people can't seem to handle the concept of freedom. Those are the ones that will move. If I lived in California, I would move because I would not be able to handle the draconian government rules there.
