Creating a border and checking IDs to make sure only people they deem justified to enter can go through. Because an open border policy that could let in the wrong people would be a threat to their neighborhoods.

According to people in the videos I’ve watched, the police are there and letting it happen.

It reminds me of the video I watched of Andy Ngo getting beaten up, assaulted and battered, then have food and drink thrown all over his head in Portland. He staggered a couple blocks away to the Portland police and pointed back down the road while telling them that antifa operatives down the road assaulted him. He was bleeding, clothing torn, covered from head down in food and drink.

Portland Police: “We can’t help you. Walk a few blocks that way and see the paramedics, if you want.”

I doubt Minnesota has a "shoot the carjacker" law, but if they did... What an opportunity.

makes you wonder if you ran the blockade if the police would get involved then by turning on their blue lights and pulling you over ... knowing that if you sued the city you'd never get a conviction in that venue. I don't live there but if I did, a dashcam would be mandatory in my vehicles.
