A little surprised to read this about that area. Not much out that way except for woods. Taylortown is just a blip. Haughton is a decent sized town. Lots of military people and country boys, but the area is growing. Even more now that they opened that back entrance from Haughton to Barksdale Air Force Base.
Sounds more like what you expect in down town Shreveport at 2am on a Friday or Saturday.
Sadly, I remember when downtown Shreveport was safe and fun on the weekends.

You know, Trump always want to act like he's "tough on crime". We can spend billions on foreign wars, ball rooms, funding to Israel, but there's been NOTHING done about the "TEEN PROBLEM" in this country. Why are we not spending all these billions to have an impact on the real issues facing our society here vs. foreign wars that don't impact the average American. And yeah, I get the "so Iran doesn't have a Nuclear Bomb" rap.

I keep seeing this 50%ish percent quoted for the amount of violent crimes committed by blacks. That’s incomplete. The FBI used data to reach the 52% mark leaves out crimes where the perpetrator’s race is unidentified. Further, it relies on city provided data where in many cases the race of the perp is misidentified, often intentionally. But the race of a murder victim cannot be concealed as easily. When you extrapolate the FBI’s incident percentage of black on black crime to unidentified perp on black crime, the violent crime rate for blacks is much higher - in the 70%+ range.
The 1 in 4 stat also doesn’t account for the blacks that have been released uncharged in liberal areas. So 1 in 4 as felons is the floor for that stat.
