Meant TCH obviously nitwit. When you started with the juvenile name calling I knew you were drowning in this thread. I can discuss all day or go middle school like yourself. Your choice.

My daughter had fetal anemia right when COVID kicked off. We went to Memorial Hermann. One of the doctors was great. He did the surgery but she had a slight brain bleed afterwards. Didn't think it was going to be a major issue but they did some scans and tests. While we were waiting the OTHER doctor said we should consider abortion because it could mess with her development. I went the absolute frick off on the guy.
Got the tests back and they said she may be 2-3 months behind on milestones at the worst. She's now 6 and in the gifted program at her school. Reading on a 4th grade level. I know everyone loves to claim their kid is super intelligent and all but my daughter is legitimately smart as a whip.
I'm glad you had the courage to stand up for her...many feel inhibited by doctors who have their psychologicaly trained ways of coercing people.

Brief Summary:
This study tests different messages about vaccinating against COVID-19 once the vaccine becomes available. Participants are randomized to 1 of 12 arms, with one control arm and one baseline arm. We will compare the reported willingness to get a COVID-19 vaccine at 3 and 6 months of it becoming available between the 10 intervention arms to the 2 control arms.
Study participants are recruited online by Lucid, which matches census based sampling in online recruitment.

they can also open up the skull to relieve swelling.
My daughter almost died due to hyponatremia (low sodium) and the hospital over corrected the sodium too fast.
She was only 6 weeks old, so her fontenel on her skull wasn't closed so her brain had room to swell.
She has brain damage, but she's alive. She even has a master's degree in data analytics.
I just wonder about this poor baby. She's older than my daughter was.
Very sad situation.

quote:They can (decompressive craniectomy). But that is normally only required after massive trauma. There are a number of ways shy of craniectomy to adequately manage ICP d/t cytotoxic edema (hypoxic injury as with drowning). Hyperventilation, barbiturate coma, steroids, diuretics, or rarely, CSF drainage.

Really not shocked to see a POS like Paxton trying to get attention from someone else’s tragedy.

How about a Texas State Representative?

Texas Children’s Hospital need to be stopped. I can’t count the number of stories that I’ve heard over the years of what TCH has done to try and destroy lives all so that they can harvest more organs to make more money.
Laws in Texas and across the United States need to be changed to stop the perverse incentive to extract organs from children that want to live.

My opinion is you are an idiot. The fact is that poor baby is brain dead.
Go look up the hippocratic oath, the basis of which is “DO NO HARM”!. But you are obviously all about doing harm.

Texas is a big state. We have a lot of pieces of shite and looks like you found another one.

... oh .... wait .... that's right .... they've kidnapped the baby.
So TCH can send in Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb to harvest her organs whenever it wants.

I'm generally curious, if the parents refuse a test to be done that could determine brain function, can the hospital or state step in and force them? It seems this is what at stake. Am I reading it wrong?
In general, I’m for parents having the final say in medical decisions for their children, but that has limits.

quote:quote:Interesting. Which facilities?
There is more than 1 hospital that has agreed to treat her.
If that is true, the parents can absolutely transfer their baby to the accepting facility. It is not TCH's decision.
FWIW, Texas has a very explicit statutory framework applicable to this situation. Under the Texas Advance Directives Act, if an ethics consultation concludes that ongoing treatment other than palliation is futile, the family and institution have 10 days to arrange transfer to another provider/facility willing to provide the treatment.
If no such provider is found within 10 days, treatment may be withdrawn even over the family's objection. In contrast to some of the BS in this thread, the 10-day clock hasn't even started as far as I can tell.

Look. I found a trash liberal devil.
Yeah, I don't mind him getting attention to save a little girl's life.

How can any institution, hospital or otherwise not allow parents to leave with their child?
Posted on 6/6/26 at 3:18 pm to CDawson
quote:They can't, at least not without a court order. A court order would be issued in cases where there is risk the parents might harm the child. None of which is applicable here.
