This tiny little girl has shown some signs of recovery nearly drowning on Memorial Day and multiple doctors agree the hospital needs to give her time for the swelling on her brain stem to go down - but the Hospital is pushing to do a brain function test and wants the family to donate her organs. Debra Sukin is the President & CEO. She will not let this child be transferred to another hospital - she is blocking the parents from fighting for the life of their little girl and violating their religious belief in the sanctity of life. The parents got a temporary restraint order against the hospital to give jen time & a radical Progressive judge blocked it & gave the hospital the right to do the brain function test now before she has had time to heal.

There are TWO other Texas hospitals in the area standing by ready to take this child. How can anyone let Texas Children’s murder this little girl?

Please share, please raise your voices, please do anything you can.

I am closely monitoring this case and will act to protect this child and honor her parents' efforts to save her.

Unlike the United guy, this would be justified.

#1 This is a personal tragedy beyond measure for the poor parents. Horrible. But their baby is brain dead. They are not using their own resources to keep her alive. They are using everyone else's, which would be fine if the outcome was variable. It isn't.

#2 No one has made the imbecilic claim you did in the OP

#3 Paxton has turned a terrible MEDICAL situation, which neither he nor you (obviously) understand, into a political one.

My 45 yr old son was declared brain dead at the age of 2 months. I physically blocked them from pulling the respirator. Nurse that had rank of Major interceded for me and got my son and I 24 more hours. Son passed his EEG the next morning. Always fight these people

Attorney General Paxton, you need to be aware that the way doctors diagnose brain death does not comply with the law under the Uniform Determination of Death Act (UDDA).

The UDDA requires the irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain including the brain stem.

The American Academy of Neurology’s (AAN) brain death diagnosis guideline explicitly allows brain death to be declared in the ongoing presence of brain function.

Because the AAN was aware that their guideline didn’t comply with the law, they petitioned the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) to change the UDDA to make it comply with their guideline.

I was an observer to the Uniform Law Commission as they met to discuss revising the UDDA. At their annual meeting in Hawaii in 2023, I remember one lawyer wondering why they were being asked to change the law in order to accommodate doctors who were not complying with it? His suggestion was that doctors should be required to follow the law.

The ULC could not reach consensus and tabled their efforts to change the UDDA in September 2023.

Thus, doctors are continuing to diagnose people with continuing brain function as being “dead.”

Dr. Michael Nair-Collins sums it up this way: “People who are not dead under the law that defines death should not be declared dead. There is no compelling reason to continue the practice of declaring legally living persons to be dead.

Are you the doctor there in charge? Do you have their medical records?

I want downvoters of the OP to find themselves in a similar situation in life.

It's what you'd want so I'd like it to be given to you.

Well ... Let's see. The effing imbecile OP title reads: "Texas Children’s Hospital will kill this child as retribution for Paxton blocking them."

Are you upvoting that bot-level bullshite?

I didn't.

All I did was respond to the responses.

Sorry.

Paxton did block them from doing trans surgeries and it was a question as to if this was why they are not releasing the child to another hospital for treatment, not a statement in the original post. Did you not read it?

NO!
It was NEVER a question as to if this was why they are not releasing the child to another hospital.

I was told the other day by a nurse that the United guy lost a child because the insurance company failed to cover procedures and it was procedures that should have been covered.

Is that true?
