No need to. They should hold out and let Trump embarrass himself more.

No.

Democrats use the word "negotiate," but their understanding of its meaning is far from what it actually means.

Probably, but it won't be wall related

All I ever heard was 'border security'...nothing about a wall except 'non-negotiable'

I imagine they will offer more money for border security, but no wall.

Absolutely not, to their own detriment. 3 wks, perfect timing. The 2nd illegal invasion will be at the border, and if DJT doesnt get any wall funding, he'll declare a Natl Emergency.

There are a lot of Democrats who said they were open to a wall/DACA deal but they wanted the government open first. Now they got it. Three weeks to make a deal or be exposed

No. They got what they wanted.

Every possible outcome is a win for Democrats. They got a win today because they dug in and refused to fund the wall. Trump gave in without it.

Theyll dig in again and say no funding for the wall. Heres a few billion for our approved border security measures...no wall. Then they'll dare him to shut down the government again and they'll spit out lines about how desperate he is.

If he goes the route of the emergency declaration, it'll get shut down in the courts and wont go anywhere. They'll scream about shutting down authoritarian policies

They will get zero votes for it. They're radical progressive base simply won't allow it. They are totally afraid of them

I can only speak for myself but yeah I think they need to. Not solely for a wall per se but increased funding for border security should happen, it’s just the way Trump went about forcing it that was the problem, now that he has backed off his my way or the highway stance they should offer some kind of an olive branch to address a real, albeit sometimes overstated, problem.

I suspect it would have to be full status quo ante though, not just the weak 3 year deal Stephen Mil... err... Trump offered. At this point, though, they're probably feeling good about offering more border security sans wall, though.

Of course they won't. They have a vested interest in keeping the borders as open as possible.

It doesn't matter if they're exposed. Their voter base doesn't give a shite.

Boarder related? Sure, more immigration judges, etc. But there sure as hell won’t be $1 for a wall.

Not a chance. Democrats say they will negotiate to get what they want.

Bingo. They will attempt to increase funding for border security but with no wall. It puts them in an advantageous position with public perception, imo, because they will use it to say "hey, we tried to compromise but he won't"
